I had the original motor rebuilt, bought new rams and hoses. Installed the above and the convertible top frame, bled the pump, top went up and down perfectly five or six times. Next time I hit the switch, the motor sounded like it was running at 1/2 speed and would not raise or lower the top. I have checked the voltage at the switch and the motor lead, 13.4 volts. I have bypassed the entire circuit and run a 12 ga. jumper straight from the battery. Pump still would not work properly. I returned the rebuilt pump for examination and bought a new pump. It did the same thing, worked perfectly one day now it is doing the same thing. The gentleman at Convertible Specialist insisted that I had a voltage/amperage problem, said I may need a new circuit breaker. To me, if it were a voltage/amperage problem, powering the pump directly from the battery would eliminate that. The battery is a new vintage battery. I am running the top with a battery charger connected at all times so the battery does not weaken. I am no wizard with electrical problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update, I ran the pump motor today with jumper wire from a friends boat battery, a battery that has a lower CCA than the Antique Auto Battery that I paid $271 for, and the pump ran perfectly. It appears that I have an amperage problem with my battery.
