I have a 1972 cutlass that I swapped a motor in recently. I also swapped the dash and steering column. I don't know what worked before because it was not running when I bought it. The headlights have no power but the blinkers work. The car was points and the motor I put in it is hei. I hot wired the hei to a on off switch and the ignition to a push button. That all works.

what dosent work is the lights, windshield wiper and, (when I turn them on there's a click near the wipermotor) the heat dosent work. For the dash when I try to crank it the hot and gen light comes on.

i don't know much at all on how to wire the dash and what does what. I have several loose plugs under the dash but everything I've listed that dosent work is plugged in.

the passenger floor light comes on when I open the door. And I haven't put the dome light in so I don't know if that works.

also I would like to replace all the fuses so if anyone can tell me all the different types of fuses I need and what there for.
