71 88 vert Very Nice not mine

https://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/6012277715.html

Came across this on my local NJ craigslist. Wow looks really clean, nice to see but seems somewhat overpriced. Love the factory wheels.

wow it is nice. it seems a bit high but really I think these cars have been under valued for a long time, a convertible, and usually highly optioned. And they are not easy to find parts for. I the end i think this is a great car at a decent price - from pics anyway.

It is a beauty. Even has the Comfortron, which I think would have been unusual in a convertible. I would think buyers back in the day would have thought to themselves that they're buying a convertible, after all, and if they want A/C as well, they'll get whatever's cheapest.

Car is well-optioned elsewhere as well. Cruise control, power windows and locks, rear defogger (again, probably somewhat unusual in a convertible), trip odometer, AM/FM/8-track (not "A-track" like he says in the ad), clock, cornering lights. Can't tell if it has power front seat, but wouldn't be surprised if it did. Can't tell what that switch is next to the power top switch above the radio. Headlight sentinel or something like that? I see only one stalk on the left side of the steering column, so apparently no tilt wheel, either.

One question. On the far left in this photo, there are TWO plunger switches in the door jamb. One is for the interior lights, I assume, but what's the second one for? Perhaps part of that timed headlight-off system?

Second plunger is for the power seat back release. It came in many Eldos and toros in 70 my W30 has it. It was installed in few and far between A and B bodies. By mid 70s many more came with it from what I can tell

Cool. I never would have thought of that. Again, probably unusual in a Delta 88, convertible or not.

Any idea what the switch on the left of the two above the radio is for? The right one says "Top," but I can't read what the left one says.

I think it's under-priced.

I don't think so. I think it's on the high end of reasonable. This is worth something in the $10,000 to $15,000 range. The high option count will add some value, but not thousands. They might make a $12,000 car into a $12,500 or maybe even a $13,0000 car, but they're not going to increase its value by 50%.

And, yes, I see that you apparently have one of these, so of course you want its value to be high!

Yup, my '72 Coupe Deville has that feature. It's a pretty small touch but I like it as a novelty, kind of like the swivel bucket seats offered in '73-ish A-bodies.

Anyways wow, that car does look nice. Hope whoever winds up with it enjoys it.

The one all the way on the left is "Night Watch", same as a twilight sentinel on a Cadillac.

For as nice as this car appears to be and with all the options and low mileage, I think he is pretty close on price. It might be a little high but this is a get in it and drive it cruiser. I think Steven is correct in that they have been under priced for a long time. I also love those wheels.

It also has the pulse wiper button in the end of the shifter! Super rare option.
