Traction bars for a 57

..ok 8yr thread..but dose anyone know what traction bars fit a 57...universal , any pic..would be nice.......mine is hoppin, i took out a leaf or two to set lower,years 30 ago..

Call Caltracs abnd see what they might have.
The big trick set up these days IF your still using leafs is MONO SPLIT and a slide a link or Caltrac set-up

They want the rear to squat get a foot print then launch.

So look them up and ask them if they might have a set that could be retro fit to you beast.

ANTI SPIN AND SAFTEY TRACK 9.3 57-64 limited slip units

We make these Limited units now from Eatons Posi. (Clutch type fully rebuild-able and able to be modified for street or Strip application) 31 spline only

I can also make a whole third member...AND YES .. .they are very expensive but pretty much Bullet proof...

thnks...Caltrac set-up..is to much $$$,
IM looking at a set on C-list for 50...but says they are for 60-70s mustang. Ill take some measurements. Would the weight of my 57 matter? thnks

i have had 56 and 57 chevs with wheel hop and used lakewood "slapper" bars to cure it.i would think the olds rear suspension is similar,they are somewhat universal. under $200 new.

ok, just an update.... just installed ones like the above post (sold before i was able to buy,but Clist gad another set )....they did the job no more wheel hop.
