I found out the olds I have has a posi rear. I jacked up the car and I spun the drivers wheel the other wheel did not turn at all. I went to the passenger side and spun it and the drivers side spun in the same direction. I'm guessing that something is wrong. Is this normal? I'm hoping I won't have to replace the carrier.

Jack up both sides at once. Leave the trans in park or in gear. Try to turn one wheel. If the other turns in the opposite direction, it is not Anti-Spin (posi). If you can't turn either wheel with the driveshaft locked, it is Anti-Spin.

Keep in mind that the stock Anti-Spin used clutch packs that rely on friction. These do wear out.
