input on wheel selection....

I am going to be purchasing my wheels for my '72, I have narrowed down to a set of Foose Nitrous I think???? but not set on what size to get. I will start off by saying yeah I like bigger than 14's but I have a set of 20's on it now and well its just not the look I like. I prefer the old muscle car stance, I was thinking of getting 18x10's for rear and 18x8's up front... Anyone have a pic of there car with similar sized wheels?

Thx

The problem with large diameter wheels is that all the available tires seem to be about 25" or so in diameter. In my opinion, this size tire leaves too much daylight in the wheelwell. If you lower the car, then the wheel well opening radius does not match the tire radius. This is a matter of personal preference, but I don't care for it.

I'd suggest you start by finding a tire that you like, something about a 245-255 section width and about 27" in diameter, then get wheels to fit it.

14's or 15's are the only things that belong on a muscle car.

It just depends on what you like. I have seen alot of muscle cars with big wheels and little rubber band tires. They look pretty decent, especially on big cars (98s and 88s). For a true muscle car you could always go with big meaty tires in the back and little pie cutters in the front. I never liked this look, but it seems to be pretty popular.
