71 cutlass tilt column shift...can it be used in floor shift car?

Just picked up a tilt, column shift steering column with the 4 spoke, sports wheel still attached (missing horn button), cruise control lever and all included switches. Came out of a "rust bucket" 71 cutlass supreme convertible. I am wanting to put the tilt column in my 71 supreme conv, but my car is auto on the floor with a non-tilt steering column. Is it possible to eliminate the column shift from the tilt column and use it with my floor shift? Both cars have cruise and are automatic. If not, then maybe someone on here can use it or be willing to trade for tilt wheel, floor shift column. Thanks

The column bolts in. Many people simply drill out the rivet/pivot pin holding the shift lever and remove the lever. You'll either have to live with the bump or somehow find a floor shift shift bowl to replace the current column shift one.

Uh, good luck finding someone to trade a more valuable floor shift column for yours...

After removing column shift lever, you can also cut and grind the column shift nub off the tilt column and fill in with bondo, repaint, etc. Unfortunately, the non tilt floor shift bowl will not interchange with the tilt one.
