windshield wipers run backwards
I recently bought a 1963 f85 which is about 85% restored. One of the problems I have is that the windshield wipers run in reverse, towards the hood.
The guy I bought it from thought it might have been the wiring backwards to the motor, but reversing the polarity just pops the fuse.
I pulled the connecting arm off the back of the motor thinking the linkage might be 180 degrees out, but was unable to rotate it to correct the problem.
I can tell that the wiper motor was removed before they painted, which led me to think it was linkage related.
Has anyone had any experience with this?

Pull the arms off and cycle the motor until it parks. Use a piece of tape to mark where the arms would be on the shafts and cycle the motor again. Do they go up or down? If they still go down, now remove the linkage bellcrank arm from the motor shaft and flip it around. With the arms off, you should have enough motion to get it back on. Cycle the motor to park again and now check the rotation of the shafts. If it looks correct, reinstall the arms.
