1969 Cutlass 12,000 miles pics

Between the trip to Chicago for MCACN and the holiday, I haven't had much time to spend with the '69 Cutlass I bought from Indy Guy. I finally had a chance to wash it last night, but didn't get under the hood or interior. Not that either one were very dirty.

The car really is a time capsule in a lot of ways, especially under the hood. The tires are obviously not correct and it had a nice repaint in the late '80s or early '90s. It basically spent most of its life sitting in a warehouse, which accounts for the low miles. It drives out like a brand new car.

It has an unusual option list for a post car. The original owner must have wanted something with a little bit of a sporting flair to it without spending a lot of money. It has the optional steering wheel, SS1 wheels and rally suspension, but the standard 250 hp 350 (regular fuel).

Here's a few quick photos I snapped this morning.

That is very nice. I had a blue sport wheel in my Vista. Found it in a wreckers, was the only piece left in the car!

Jon,
Glad you liked the car and are happy with the purchase. I hope there were no hidden surprises after looking it over when it got back to you.

That's what a 1-2 year car looked like back in the day.

The numbers are hard to read, but if I'm reading the right ones, it looks like an M4 and right below that is a 0.

M = Motor Wheel Corporation
4 = plant #4
0 = 1970

there should also be a month & day on either side of the valve stem
