Has any one here ever bought and installed one of the many reproduction bumpers for sale by the companies that support Olds products like Fusicks?

They are advertised as triple plated and usually cost around $400 bucks +/-

I am curious to how you liked them and how they fit

Be wary of aftermarket bumpers. I mention this because I had Goodmark re-chrome the bumpers on my 71 98 a few years ago. The rear bumper is already showing the nickel beneath the chrome. Goodmark sells reproduction bumpers for the A body Cutlii.

I bought a rear bumper for my 70 442 from Tamraz. They sell Golden Star which I've heard decent things about but they sent me AMD. My body guy installed it. He said it took a little tweaking but looks good once its on. Finish is good but not great and def not what you would call show quality. All in I'm satisfied for the $$. I'd say I got what I paid for.

Please see the attachment. Also, I'm usually a big proponent of Fusick but in bumpers I think there are only a few manufacturers out there. I don't think Fusick is giving you something you can't get elsewhere. I'd shop based on price.

I went with the Tamraz bumpers. The front one was made wrong - the left indicator light bucket was welded in the wrong position. the manufacturer said to stop being so picket, but Tamraz offered to take it back. We made it work with hammers, pliers, and lots of washers.
The back bumper's light brackets were completely wrong and had to be reshaped and drilled.

So... Perfect? No. But OK for the money.

What year on these bumpers? Tamraz 30 minutes from my house with local pickup and I was about to order a 69 442 rear. I'll hold off if its as bad as you're saying.

I'm happy with the Tamraz rear for my '68, definitely not "show" quality but it looks great for a nice driver & it fit perfectly. I just got the front AMD one from them a couple of weeks ago & will be putting on soon.It looks really nice. I took a voluntary lay-off from my job of 25 yrs earlier this year & it looks like I won't be going back 'till after Jan(awesome!!). Now that all the outside projects are done for the year it looks like I'll finally have some serious time for the Olds for a change!

71/72. Those types of issues are the things to just expect with any repop body panel, especially low production runs like Olds.

Check the chrome carefully. It won't look perfect (there will be waves), but search every inch for any chips or any copper showing.

I purchased front and rear for a 1970 SX Cutlass from The Parts Place in Dekalb Illinois and both were great. No issues whatsoever.

I used front and back for my 1969 from Tamara’s. Great fit n finish. Very happy with them.
