Just came across these amber lenses and can't decide if I like them better than the clear so I thought I'd get the opinion of my fellow Olds fanatics...I know amber is not original so don't vote based on originality...thanks for participating!

I really don't have a strong opinion.

But it sure is a nice car.

What's stock? I voted clear, but not sure if that's correct for the car.

first off nice car!
I think the clear looks better. Seems like the amber ones pull your eyes away from the grill.

clear vs amber....

I would vote for the amber since you have the 72 style hadlight bezels and the black grilles.....i thinik it look's good with that combination....just my 2 cents....Oldsdroptop

Voting for clear from this vantage point. Just my opinion, but I find many things[clothes, houses and cars] look less classy/tasteful the more colours you add.Ultimately, you have to look at it as you turn out the lights each night, and like what you see. Derek

You could use the clear lens and put in amber bulbs. That's what I did. I have a 72 cutlass convertible.

Thanks for the comments ... I'm a little surprised noone has asked where I got the amber lenses because as far as I know, they were never available for the Cutlass and aren't reproduced anywhere...they're actually from another GM car of the same era and fit almost exact....anybody know?

If you know what 4-4-2 originally designated, you can vote.

Ok, I missed voting, but if I did I would go clear. That's how they came from the factory. If you want the light to show as amber, just replace the 1157 bulb with an 1157A (amber). It still looks really cool.

As far as where they came from?? 70/71 Chevy Vega? Didn't realize they were a direct fit.

BTW, what happened to the front bumper? Needs to be straightened at the bottom. Too many snowdrifts?
