Thanks for posting!!
Hopefully the " MODS" here can make up a sub-forum for us one day. Part sources, etc will really help us all.
Its unfortunate, but I don't feel as thou the 73-77 olds site will ever be what it was, but we can build something good here for all of us.
I will post some part numbers of some of the parts I have purchased and that work/fit well in the near future. Perhaps others can as well.
I'm going to be in the process of making some parts with the help of an awesome guy here on Classic Olds, I'm not going to say much at this time, have to wait until we can get it perfected.
Looking forward to seeing where this thread goes and just how many of us are here.
Cheers
Eric

The site is not really year specific, its model specific in relation to the forums.

I had a cool, all original black 1975 Cutlass. I dove it for a little less than a year before selling it to a guy in Charlotte NC. It was a great car.

Currently loving my crusty '77 Cutlass Supreme. It's a California car, the motor is tired, but I still love driving it. Working on a rebuild of a '71 350 to drop in one day.

1977 Cutlass 350
Bone stock everything, no engine mods, no tranny mods, nothing.

Probably this month or next month I might put some lighter springs in the dist. mechanical advance to make it more efficient. Also might need some new tires, still have some BFGs from 2007

Rick, be sure to dump a little oil on the rear tires and take a pic of the smoke show running down the street before you put new tires on it.
No one needs to know it is just a bone stock 77 350 haha.
Cheers, thanks for playing in this thread.

Here's some pics of my girlfriend, Cheryl's 76 Salon. I went through it for her back in '09. She's owned it since the early 80s. It was a true "little old ladies car" with 20k on it, that was traded in at the old A. D. Pelunis Olds in Cleveland where Cheryl worked in parts at the time. When she saw it come in she snapped it up right away, before it even hit the used car lot! It still only has about 46k on it. It's loaded was almost every option except cruise & a big block. It still looked good & the interior is mint but it needed so serious attention mechanically. It had never been apart & it was leaking fluids everywhere, the rad was rotten, brakes needed work, etc. I blew it apart, cleaned & detailed everything. I added some nice upgrades while at it. On the engine,it's stock but it now has an Edelbrock intake, earlier exhaust manifolds with '73-'74 true duals plus a nice set of '73 "Oldsmobile" stamped valve covers. While I had the trans out for a reseal it got a shift kit plus I added a dual-gate shifter. I got rid of the lazy 2.41 gears replacing them with 3.08s & an anti-spin carrier. The interior got rally-pac gauges, complete with the correct seat belt warning lamp on the top of the dash, & of course the 4 spoke wheel. The car runs great!

I too am working on a crusty '77 cutlass. I got it complete from a junk yard auction for $225. It has a 260 but I just bought a 76 parts car with a built up 350. I'm having fun beating on the 76 right now before I take the engine out.

That's basically exactly what I'm doing with the '77 350 that's still installed, just enjoying it before I take her out of commission for the swap

Also, it would be nice to get more of the 73-77 forums guys over here, as there are still quite a few active posters over there.

Alot of 73 to 77 Cutlass fans here. I have a 76 Cutlass Supreme Brougham coupe with the 455 and T Tops and a 77 Cutlass Supreme Brougham sedan which is a rare find today. Both cars are loaded with all the options. I had in the past, a few more including a couple of 76/77 Salon 5 speed coupes which I should have kept.

77 Olds CS Brougham Stocker

Bought it off the showroom floor 1977, Twin Falls, Idaho. Has just over 200k miles. Been repainted to original hue, not exactly Firethorne Red, but close. Need a grill, bought a piece of crap that doesn't match, so am looking for a replacement, caught a bird in the right side and demolished the original. Finished 2009.jpg

74 Y77 Hurst Pace Car replica that I might can get finished now that I'm retired. I'm 58THNDY on 73-77.

If we get our own subforum, may I suggest calling it "The Forgotten Five" same as the old Oldsmobile Cutlass Coupes group? Though I'd really hate to see 73-77 go under if we all came over here...

Yeah, I figured I'd set up a profile and share some love over here too. It kinda irks me to watch the death of the 73-77olds site, as we have so much great information over there. Hell, I was there pretty much from the beginning. Lots of great memories and stories and laughs, of course!

Oh well, I digress!

For those that weren't members over there, or familiar with the site, here goes!

1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham sedan. Code 44 Medium Green, 350/ TH350/ 2.41 rear. Purchased in May 1992 for $1658.50.

1973 Cutlass S 442. Special Order Omega Red, 350/ TH350/ 2.73 rear. Purchased in July 2000 for $3500.

I am a fan of originality and I prefer to keep my cars as close to that as I can. The cars are great cruisers! I have acquired quite a bit of knowledge about this generation over the last however many years we have been causing trouble discussing them.

I look forward to sharing the love over here and also learning a thing or two!

Any time you Ontario guys want to meet up, if you are interested in heading south of the border let me know! I'd be interested in sharing a beverage or two and some good conversation! Besides, Joe, I want to see those quarters in person someday!

Hey there damaged442, I just saw the photo of your 77 Cutlass Supreme Brougham sedan. Do you know how rare that car is? It was a 1 year only model built in limited numbers. I have the exact same car, mine is black with a black vinyl top and the firethorn red and gold pinstriped pillow interior. It's been in my family since brand new. We ordered the car and it's loaded with everything. I would like to see more photos of your car. Mine has been stored in the back of a warehouse for decades but I will see if I can take a clear photo and post it, or I'll dig up an old photo. Great find you have there.

Hey there Herbie! It's great you have one also! I have always been of the philosophy that four doors need lovin too! I have never really thought of her as rare, just a great car. She was my first car, that I bought at 17, because it was the first car I looked at that was in my price range! She is a Framingham, MA built car, also loaded up with everything!

I think that back in the day, my mother wanted me to get this car as she thought that if I ever got in an accident, that I would have some iron around me for protection. She never thought I would still have the car after all these years! I've had the car through high school, college, married life, kids, and divorce. I joke that she has been with me longer than any relationship I have been in! LOL.

I have lots of pictures of her, and I will get around to posting them soon enough!

I would love to see the black with that interior! Get her up and running and out of that warehouse! I proudly have over 147,000 miles and still going!
