Steering wheel wanted
I have a 72 Cutlass Supreme. At some point a previous owner swapped out the original steering wheel for a 442 wheel.
Mine:
The steering wheel I am looking for:
If anybody has one they are willing to sell, or knows where I can find one, please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt

Welcome to CO. I am sure someone will have the wheel you are looking for. Many of them have at least some cracks in them. If you want to sell the sport wheel that is on your car it should bring at least enough to buy you the correct wheel. I think the sport wheel was an option on all the Cutlasses and 442s. Why do you want to change it?
What part of Illinois are you from?

Thank you for the welcome. I want the original wheel because that's what it should have. The rest of the car looks like this:
The sport wheel just doesn't go with the paisley brocade cloth interior, spoke hubcaps with white walls, and cream colored everything. It used to have color matched SSii wheels with white letter tires on it, but again, I reverted back to its original spoke/white wall combo.
Edit: Forgot to mention I am on the NW side of Chicago.

Hi Steve,
You can send pics to Matthew.Pollina@gmail.com. Unfortunately, my Olds is top dog on the lift and probably won't be down for a while, so I can only reply with the decent pics I have on hand. From what I understand (and have no reason to doubt), it is a period correct wheel and not a reproduction. The brushed metal spokes and horn button are in great shape, the wheel itself is a bit glossy and smooth from use, but that is mostly hand oils and cleans up nicely. If you are looking for a restoration quality wheel, your best bet is probably a repro. If the rest of your interior already has some patina, mine should work.

what is a 442 wheel?
Why are people referring to the sport wheel as a 442 wheel? The sport wheel was not related to the 442 in any way other than being an option.
