I have 2' lowering springs for my '64 cutlass build so can anyone suggest what type/brand/part# I should be looking at for shock absorbers? I searched the forum but nothing specific popped up.

With two FOOT lowering springs, shocks are the least of your problems...

With 2" lowering springs, I'm guessing you're worried about bottoming the shock. Actually, unless you plan to cut the bump stops, the stock shocks will be fine. The bump stops limit compression travel before the shocks bottom. Drop will still be limited by shock extension, as it was before. Even with 2" shorter front springs, you don't have to worry about the springs coming loose at full drop. I don't know what you are doing at the rear, but the rear springs should be retained by the bolted plate on the rear axle on a 64. I've cut the front springs one full coil and run stock shocks with no problems.
