Hotchkis springs
#5
My thread under major projects,( Update on 64 F-85 post build) shows that I built my 64 F-85 pro-touring car with a complete Hotchkis suspension including front and rear springs. I used their Hotchkis tuned Bilstein shocks for the front and QA1 adjustable in the rear. For my taste I think the rear sits a little high will not know for sure until I get everything on the car. These are stock height rear springs for Cutlass, Chevelle etc. and gives you the correct stock height. The front is spot on especially with the B-spindle upgrade to take the under-steer out of these A-bodys. Here are a few images:

I thought the same thing as to the rear sitting a little high so I put in the 2 inch drop springs in the back this year. The car is level now. I didn't like any rake at all in the stance. It was there but more or less only I could see it and have it bother me. My friends didn't notice any difference when I had the new ones in.

z11375ss, did you notice how the installation of these front springs is much easier then the old GM springs? The spring compressor only needed a few turns and the Hotchkis springs went right in. Few more images, this is B-spindle upgrade:

Rob, I’ve been following along and your car is awesome! I’ll use your suggestionfor a GTO sized radiator with the proper side inlet/outlet when it is time.
I like the idea of the b body spindle swap but don't know if it is necessaryon my car for the type of driving I anticipate and the pricey upper arms.
I’m not a big fan of the hot rod rake. I like a level car so maybe 2” drop in back with 1” drop in front wouldsuffice.
