springs

hey guys

good afternoon.....
I have a 67 442 400E and I am putting in tubular A-arms, spindles, swap to disc brakes while I'm in for a buck I
might as well put new springs in.... any recommendations would be great or the right part number for Moog....
not dropping the ride height.... keeping it stock or even up a bit would be fine...

thanks,
John

Moog has never had many offerings in tangential-tangential springs of the correct diameter and length. Never offered the 425 lb/in 4-4-2 coils. You will have to modify something after choosing the spring rate you want.. For example, 5230 coils for 6 cylinders are about 250 lb/in and quite long so the car will sit higher with them, but have a soft suspension. Other coils are for the 330 engine, etc.

Eaton Detroit Springs

Eaton Detroit Springs, on the web, has an application chart for these. You may select from several sizes shorter than stock, up to several sizes longer than stock, along with spring rate. They hooked me up real quick. I had the springs of my choice in about 10 days.

Good Luck!
