Hello all! Quite a few members here have gotten the Lares 974 steering gear as a replacement for sloppy factory steering. Well, 974 is on backorder now, with an expected arrival date of a couple of months from now. Lares 973 is also a direct bolt-on replacement, with 3-3.25 turns lock to lock. Does anybody have any experience with Lares 973? Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.

If my memory serves me well the only difference is that the 974 is a 4 bolt on and the 973 is a 3 bolt on. Other wise there is no internal difference. Someone please step up and correct me if my memory is not working well.
