The mechanic putting my new suspension components has informed me of the following:

I did run into one problem the sway bar to frame bushing are bad
I order two sets from different vendor both where wrong
you will need to see if you can locate them
the bar is 1’’ 1\4 and the bracket is 1’’ 3/8 wide that was where the problem was I could get the bar size but would not fit the bracket

I am seeing plenty of replacement parts that accept a 1 1/4" diameter bushing but I can't find anything labeled to accept a certain bracket measurement. This is what I am finding to me the correct piece, I'd appreciate someone with more knowledge helping me get the correct piece.

Dorman sells bushing kits that come with correctly sized brackets. Get ones for a Trans Am with the 1.25" WS6 sway bar.

I have only met 1 mechanic that could blue print/find parts/source material and provide quality service in a reasonable time frame for a fair price. It's generally one or the other. That gent is a Vietnam vet who is hanging it up since opening his shop after 38 years ago and I will surely miss him. The other 15+ shops i've worked with over 16 years? This has always been the case. Where I live most of these cars are rotted out salt boxes and don't have any work done to them. Any "custom" speed shop in this area wants to hook up a lap top to a coyote mustang and give you a bill, not put heat to a 34 year old suspension. So yes, they should, but because I don't have adequate space in my garage to safely perform this project I have to go with the place I know will keep it inside, get it back in under a month and not charge me insane labor because I brought them something old.
