Round or oval bushings?

Hey all, I'm planning on getting all the front control arm bushings replaced on my 72 U code Supreme soon, and in my research, I see that there are round as well as oval bushings. I saw a couple of threads here on CO that pertain to my project, but neither one had a definite answer as to which ones I should have.

I did read that the late year production run got round bushings, and also that all BB cars got the round bushings? Is this right?

Also, where exactly would the bushings in question be on the car?

Thanks,
Dave

The easiest way to determine if you have round or oval is to lay under the car and look. Sometimes over the lifespan of these cars parts are replaced and the control arms are interchangeable.

They are on the lowers, there are 2 pivot bolts that attach them to the frame. Look in there.

the oval bushing is in the pivot closest to the firewall, the forward bushing is round.I have the control arms off so if you want more pictures let me know.
