BMR 1" lowering springs ( front )

bought for my '68 cutlass rebuild. How critical is the placement of the pig tail in the lower control arm? I dry fitted them on the bench and the spring does not sit evenly ( the pig tail hits the cup of the arm) when I rotate it to try and get the pig tail to sit where the control arm is indented. If I rotate the pig tail away from the arm dent, it gets betterabout 1/12 the of a rotation which makes it sit approx 1" from the little hole. I have read here and elsewhere about there being 2 holes in the spring seat area, I only have one. Any input is appreciated.
