51 is the chain type, it denotes the pitch and gauge. Not sure if the cp just is there for chain pitch or something else. You should be able to find a table on oregons web site.

Here is some help!

There listing it as a chipper with guards? I agree with safety guards but the tooth is rounded which is a non chipper style or anti-kickback chain!

Also .404 pitch with .058 gauge with all the safety features

Usually .404 is reserved for the pros. Which would have chipper, half skip or full skip chain.

CP-51 is a husqvarna saw model.

As far as chain goes. Oregon does use LP designations. I don't think they use CP

LP is a chain designation by Oregon meaning it's a Full Chisel chain.

I bought a Old Homelite Super Wiz 77.I rebuilt it with as many new parts as I could find.I've got it running now and runs really well.Only to find that it takes a chain with a 1/2" pitch which they don't make any more.So I've got a new sprocket coming which will allow me to use the .404 pitch. But I don't know what kind of .404 to use. The saw has a gear reduction so the chain turns slower than most.It sounds like the chain on ebay should is pretty much an all around chain.
