Randoms Oldsmobiles in Movies

After reading the post about Animal house and the Dealership, this got me thinking. Anyone else see any Olds' in other films? Kind of a cool random thought. I know that prob no one has caught this, but in the chase scene in "Fletch" for a very very split second they show a 83' Hurst that they almost hit.

olds in movies

i liked the delta 88 in the first spider man movie,it looks cherry.i think it shows up in the second movie but that seems weird because i think it gets ruined in the 1st.there is a ratty 442 convertible in a woody harrelson movie that he drives and a nice cutlass convertible eddie murphy drives in a beverly hills cop movie.it seems to me that clint eastwood likes his olds' he drives them in almost every dirty harry movie.i just hate it when they crash them.i do know that they arent as nice as they look,i friend works on most of the movies filmed in new england and he said they look better on tv.jc

Charlie Sheen drives an orange Cutlass convertible in, I think it's called, Navy Seals. The car gets towed on a rollback and he jumps in it and tilts the bed and drives off the bed -at highway speeds- backwards unbeknownst to the truck driver. I think that's the only time we see the Cutlass is in the beginning.

In the horror move "The Hitcher" the main character drives a blue '70 442.

That car shows up in nearly every (if not EVERY) Sam Raimi movie, going back to the first "Evil Dead". I think he owned it as a student filmmaker.

90's Woody Harrelson movies, White men can't jump 66 or 67 Cutlass convertable, Kingpin 1970-72 Cutlass Supreme/442 car was kind all over starting as 442 convertible 71-72 front bumper and 70 rear, later it was just a 72 drop top Supreme. Play it to the bone 1972 drop top 442.

Marky Mark movie Four brothers 85-86 442.

10th and Wolf

Giovanni Ribisi drives a 76 Cutlass Supreme through most of the movie. It is shown in the background of the first still of the slide show with him standing in front of the car and James Marsden standing on the passenger side.

The Cleveland Show

Federline, Roberta's boyfriend drives a 76-77 Cutlass. It's a cartoon but it's still a Cutlass.

Watch any of the old Rockford Files shows, there are always cool cars to be seen parked or driving around.

1985 (with '86 grilles) 442 in "4 Brothers". Quick glimpse of '83 H/O in Dirty Harry's "Sudden Impact".

There is also an old music video with Hall & Oates. Stay The Night or Stay With Me is the name of the song. It's a red 68' ragtop and a blue Ford 50 something pick-up truck. Good video hot leading lady....

The Hitcher, Demolition Man, Navy Seals, and The Next Karate Kid are movies with Oldsmobiles in them. Demolition Man had a good car chase with a 1970 442. A W30 442 gets destroyed in The Next Karate Kid.

WW and the Dixie Dance Kings , a Burt Reynolds movie in which he drives a black and gold '55 Olds Golden Anniversary . One of fifty made .... in the mind of who ever came up with it for the movie .
Another is a '69 Cutlass in a movie called Hot Rod . A drag racing movie from the '70s .

Did you ever notice how big the parking stals are in those old movies/shows?You could have the biggest 2 dr and open the door the whole way.

Not to change the subject but did anyone ever see the chop-top nova?It had a lot of other modifications.I saw it a long time ago but lost the link.Think it was on the east coast possible NJ or NY.

Nobody mentioned any of the Leathal Weapon movies

The 78 Delta made a few apperences. The scene where they shot Riggs while he was talking to the hooker and then later, the lady is pulled out of the same car buy her hair. Also, the cop car was an 86 Delta

In Leathal 2, the main car was a CC, and a few FWD Cutlasses showed up.

IDK about Leathal 3.

Leathal 4, the highway table scene, the car that crushed the table after he jumps in the GA, was an Auroa.

Cutlasses and Deltas where in a few of the Police Academy movies as well

There was a movie that came out a few years ago and it was an Alero in the chase scene, damn they killed that poor car And the highway scene in the Matrix there was a few Auroras a couple of Intrigue, and one Alero

Also in CSI, when Sara was kidnapped, she was put in the trunk of an Intrigue

There's more, just can't think of them right now.

olds movie stars

i was trying to remember the name of that drag racing movie and the burt reynolds movie,i thought w.w. was a 56 but brain cells are starting to deteriorate.its no coincidence that olds are used frequently in movies when you need a car that performs and is reliable.i mentioned earlier that clint eastwood used olds a lot in his movies.olds "rocket power" nothing like it this side of the sky.

Its not a movie but in the Canadian TV show "Corner Gas" the main character Brent drives a 68 Cutlass. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_30905-O...lass-1968.html
And his dad drives an Oldsmobile Omega.

Vista Cruiser in That seventy's show.I didn't see every e show but I can't believe I never saw or heard about an 8-track.Also I always thought it would be a good running gag if every week Kelso thought that the cast-a-ways were going to get off the island.

I never did the math , but I remember reading that the Burt Reynolds car should have been a '56 to make it right , but the car only existed in this movie , so ....
