My screw up

To all of the Good morning posters.

When I opened the thread this morning there was a prorn/spammer on the site and when I went to delete his post and ban him I hit thread delete by mistake. I have sent Omicron and Oldsguy a message to hopefully recover the thread. I Sincerely apologize for this error and hope it can be recovered

(....3 hrs later) How about now?
I don't know if you can still get those old Bex Powders in the yellow & black box, but a fairly concentrated mix as a mouthwash then swallow it with a half bottle of OP rum usually does the trick.

Col.

I have taken my time and nothing relevant or earthshattering here--boring understates my attitude post xmas and now back at work .

I have taken my nicely ported B heads to the welder with header stubs and pattern for a set of header flanges .Deciding what size pipe to use has boosted my stocks by an extra 18 m !!.Enough to run it out the rear and return to the engine.

Oh yeah , nearly forgot --spring clean in summer and unravelled an old prize --a flag off the visiting uss truxton --circa 1982 ? Might fly it on my property.

Daughter has come to stay and bloody nora , I have cooked meals and a clean house --wondeful, but she isn`t allowed into one bedroom --strangely full of exhaust tube , a mig welder and no doubt permanent burn marks in the carpet.

The Magna Carta of threads has been lost to cyber space.

" Like Sands through the hour glass........................."

Heck, we should be able to post a few thousand pages in no time.

That is one COOL tidbit! I recently bought a USS Missouri commemorative pint glass from the local liquor shop. I kind of like having that kind of thing in my 'man cave'. It's pretty cool, etched with the ship image and commissioning, decommissioning dates.

Well, I guess this is our "new" Good Morning thread, huh??? Any chances of getting the original back, do we know??

Morning All!!!

A crisp 6 degrees here this morning, and the sun is out. We have a wintery mix coming in tonight so it will be slickery early tomorrow morning they're saying, then it's supposed to turn all to rain, then snow again...

Jamesbo..... I made your meatloaf yesterday - it was great!! Even Nicole ate some, after she picked out the green peppers and onions. The taters and carrots cooked in the pan with it were very good! I will make it again! Now I'll have to try the tater soup!!

Steve is back from Atlantic City. Brian is off again today - I don't mind... I get our room to myself and don't have to listen to him talk and complain to all on the phone all day long. God he can get depressing and annoying!! Same old things over and over and over.......

I forgot there is no mail today, so I think my Hagerty renewal is going to be late!
A lot of people must have the day off. There was hardly any traffic on 91 this morning.

Well have a great day all!

I was actually gonna suggest that someone start a good mornn post II cause it took so long to load the darn thing. Oh well , I missed the last week or so but actually been doing some snow plowing. I spent 4 hours in the tractor Wednesday and the next day and half laid up in pain. My neck and back suck but I am supposed to be getting an MRI one of these days. I think I told y'all the EMG i had done said that there was another nerve problem in the neck at the 7-8 joint , one above where I had fixed. The lower back is at the L5 area and now causes pain in the legs , more the left side , and even the bottom of my foot hurts ( weird ). Sunny today but cold this morning -12C with a high of only -8.

Hey Wolfie! Glad to know you're still alive and somewhat well! Take it easy out there plowing snow and such!! I hope you feel better this year.

Speaking of health things, Colonel..... how is your vision now? Are you seeing any better out of your eye yet??

I miss our thread. Yep, it was long, but it was fun to go back and read some of it once in a while - I did that on Saturday when I was looking for Jamesbo's meatloaf recipe. I had to laugh at some of the stuff we posted, lol! But we shall start anew today!

When I saw how many pages were on this thread - I didn't want to mess with 'history'.
Now, starting over, [per say] I've got a 'killer' hot fudge recipe my family loves, passed down from my mother, and I just gave to my 18 yr. old daughter!

By 'parts', depends how much you're wanting to make:
Teaspoon = 1 serving
Tablespoon = 2 to 3
Serving spoon = 4 to 5 servings

1 part Hersheys Cocoa Powder [heaping]
4 parts regular sugar "
2 parts water or milk

Mix together, bring to a boil, stir for a minute, and pour over favorite ice cream!
Ya gotta play with the length of boil - to your taste, as the longer the boil, [without burning] the more 'caramelized' it'll get, and get hard once hitting the ice cream.
Have fun with it!
Rick

Did you ask to see the old part? $230 . Next time a sharp long stick and a 6 lb. rock should save you some $$$. Although you will feel a "slight" pressure.

The original GMP was so huge when I joined I felt overwhelmed and did not venture into it. Had I known there were gumbo recipes and things like that I would have looked closer.

I just hope all the recipes used vegetable or canola oil and not engine.

I am early enough on this one I can keep up with the posts.

Jamesbo, I was thinking I'd make this for supper tonight so I'm going to make a supermarket run for the poke and beef. What should I be buying for the best results, Regular,Lean or Extra Lean ???
