My back hurts from hunker-en down. I may never stand up straight again. What with 3 kids, the change of life thingie and her remembering everything I ever done did wrong in the last 44 years I look like the hunch back

Well Pat I can understand how you feel and then some. Have not been here lately but it has been a bad last 3 weeks. Two friends moms passed away in the same week then a buddy I played ball with for a few years died in his sleep , he was 49. Shortly after that my brother-in-law died on the operating table while having a double by-pass. I am now keeping my fingers crossed that a whole week goes by without similar news
We sure have been getting a lot of thunderstorms here this summer and it means not being able to make some extra funds. Last week I did spend 3 days removing some trees at my doctors house , probably one more day left there. Then I have some bush hogging to do lined up but the field is too swampy still , normally it would be dry by now
I am supposed to go for another MRI and other tests someday when they get around to booking the appointment. The specialist was off for 5 months on sebatical and when I phoned last week to see if the appointment was booked yet , they had a message saying the office was closed til Aug. 29th while they were on holidays
Should of stayed in school and specialized in medicine cause it seems you get 6 months holidays a year

Gosh, Wolfie that is a tough week. Hope it gets better from there for you. I am not really complaining about my wife, she is really a great person (she puts up with me and my hobbies), just seems to be a common female thing to never forget anything a man does good or bad and remind you of the bad things from time to time

My Trophy Wife's just like your two. My '65 convertible that I lovingly refer to as "Blue Belle", when my TW needs me for something, becomes "damn car!" And... you're both right... they NEVER forget. God Bless 'em! Is that too religious, Pat?

Evening All!

You do know that this hunkerin down stuff works both ways, don't ya?? Sometimes men are more moodier than alot of women I know! Sorry.... but it's true! Anyhow...

It was a gorgeous day here today, after a very thick foggy morning. Around 84 degrees and sunny. Clouded up late afternoon and we had a 5 minute down pour while the sun was still shining! Suposed to rain tomorrow - I had plans to go to the Anna Maria Nursing Home show that got rained out last Sunday. Don Sitts is sponsoring it, and every car registered gets a free picture taken of your car and given to you. I don't really need another pic of Teepo, but that's my closest show. The Ravenna Elks Club show is rescheduled for tomorrow also, but it's participant voting. I got a nice plaque there last year.

So I went to the show 35 miles away today at the fire station. On the web site it said there would be 14 classes. So I get over there, through all the friggin traffic, rough roads, and red lights, and people are already voting on cars! Turns out it was participant voting, and no classes! It was a nice show. Didn't see anyone I knew. A lot of nice cars. I'll post pics eventually. I was upset, but I enjoyed the day and sitting in the sun!

Got home 5 ish, and picked quite a few green beans off my plants! I haven't looked at them for a week or so. I froze a little bag of them! I was pleased. Still a lot of bloom on the plants yet, so hopefully I can freeze some more.

It was nice talking to Adrian yesterday! Good to know Blue and Laura are ok. I got a card to send to them, and hopefully I can convince him to get his butt back on here. I don't care if he doesn't have the Vista anymore. He's still my friend and I miss him!! He knows so much about cars, and has a lot to contribute on here.

Well I'm tired, so I'll talk to you tomorrow!!

Wake up you sleepy heads! Morning All!

Sittin here watchin the weather. Ain't a lookin to purdy out there. It stormed early morning hours and is cloudy now. Very tropical out there with all the moisture. Yuck!! Something tells me shows are gonna be rescheduled again until next Sunday. Which is the Olds show in Alliance!! Of course tomorrow and early week are gonna be sunny and beautiful and cool. Only in the 70's. Too early for the cool weather. I'm waiting for the Dog Days of August we ain't had yet.......

Well I got some pleasant news..... seems like our friend Car Designer is coming my way today, eh?? They are driving down from Canada and will be in the area this week. Hopefully we can take in some cruises together this week, keep him from getting too bored around here, lol, and I believe he's coming to the Olds show. I am looking forward to meeting another member of CO!!

Well have a great day all - I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do. Chance it or no??

Evenin All!

Well I didn't go to any shows today. We had rain on and off all day. I probably coulda went to Aurora and been ok, but it kept clouding up so bad, I didn't want to chance it. So I cleaned the house and breezeway, filled the bird feeders, washed the throw rugs from the breezeway, washed my hair and just puttered around. We just had a heck of a rain come through around 7 pm.

Larry enlarged the lily bed out in the front yard today. Seems he ordered a lot more lily bulbs! I need to seperate the ones in there now - they really multiply! Not complainin, I love the lillies!! I told him he's gonna have to put a big fence up around the bed to keep the damned deer from eating them all again next summer. Man that was terrible.

Well Jamesbo, you sure had a lot to say today!

Yep Adrian! That sounds like a good idea, lol! I'm a waitin for Jamesbo and Scot to come visit, lol. Why anyone would want to come here though, is beyond me! I'm excited to meet Paul, though. Gotta get Teepo cleaned up tomorrow night! Can't have a dusty Teepo!!

Well gotta go dry my hair so I'll talk to ya later! Have a great evening all!

I may have to come visit if I want to attend any car shows I found out there was a benefit show yesterday in Macon but it wasn't advertized until after it was over, then it was all over the news.

I'm sposed to go smack whitey round dis mawn'in but I got's sum kinda allergy to sum'in and my hands are itchy. with tiny little bumps on dem. I hope I ain't alergic to beer? I ain't eaten anything different lately Peaches, peanut butter crackers, sardines. Not really sure what caused it. But benadryl ain't help'in at all.

Good Monday Morning All!

X2 bout the mugginess and don't forget the HOT part.

No Sandy there are no centralized websites that advertise carshows and or cruise-ins either round here that I am aware of.

Jamesbo sounds like you might be 'lergic to the in law Or are you sure you didn't stick your hands in a fire ant bed to take your mind off of your sore ears from all of that listening?

Wolfie I sure hope you get to feeling better, sounds like you may need to look for another specialist that can pinpoint what is wrong. Best wishes and get well soon

Well Monday it is, I hope everyone has a great one.

Morning All!

A nice fall morning out here. Temps in the 50's!!! Very chilly! I hate now that the sun is moving around, every right turn I take coming to work, and trying to back out the driveway, the sun is glaring like right there at eye level, and I can't see good!

Jamesbo..... did ya get into something with your hands outside that you might be allergic too? Did you put some cortizone stuff on it to help the itching? Or Calamine lotion? I know that as we get older, you can just wake up one morning allergic to something and no reason for it!!

I have to run down to Giant Eagle here in a few minutes to get a case of bottled water. Clay didn't get any over the weekend. I drink about 5 bottles here a day! I'm not gonna cut into my lunch hour to do it either. If Brian can make a McDonalds run every morning 10 to 15 minutes a day, then I can go get water!!

It's quiet in here - gonna be a long one. Gonna clean Teepo tonight and that's all I have planned. It will be a nice night for the Riverfront though.....

Have a great day all! I'm downloading my pics from Saturdays show. Will make a new thread.

Good Tuesday Morning All!

Gonna be a normal summer day here, hot and muggy I've got my eyes on hurricane Irene since my oldest attends college not far from the coast, may have to get her to come home if it gets too close. It looks like it is forming to be a huge storm and might do a ton of damage to the eastern seaboard. I doubt I get any rain from it since it looks like I will be on the western side of it. We need the rain, that is for sure.

Anyhoo I guess I'll yak at cha later, everyone have a great day

Morning All!

Where the heck is everybody???? Our GM thread is going downhill..... Where's Citcapp? Where's Don? Where's Jamesbo?? Scot.... guess it's just you and me, bud!

I heard Tony Jackson from the weather channel on my radio station this morning, and he said yesterday was your hottest day there in Atlanta yesterday, at 99 degrees! I'm sure that was miserable with all the humidity!

Myself, I'm freezin here this morning, lol! It's 56 degrees. Too soon to be this chilly. No humidity, sun is out and sky is blue! My hands are like ice, though. Signs of things to come...... Hope the hurricane misses your daughter's area, Scot. Those things are scary! Florida is gonna get dumped on of course, from what I saw.

I haven't heard from Car Designer (Paul)- I assume he's in the area here somewhere?? They're calling for a chance of storms tomorrow and Thursday - of course, my 2 cruise in nights - but I'm hoping they miss. I'd like to meet Paul at the Chick-Fil-A cruise tomorrow night. Could go out to Solon tonight if he gets a hold of me.....

I cleaned Teepo last evening. Have to vacuum her out tonight and sweep out the trunk. It's dusty in there. Gotta get her spruced up for the Olds show on Sunday!! I can't wait!

Well Scot, you have a good day, and all you others also if you're out there, lol!

I'm here, I'm here! Sorry Sandy, but I am using a library computer so I am not on very often.

A couple of people told me about the Solon cruise tonite and from what I hear it sounds like a good one. I was actually going to ask you if you would be there See you there tonite?

I havent been on here since Saturday so I am falling behind on the good morning thread. I guess I will have a lot of catching up to do when I get back home.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning guys and Sandy

Warm and muggy here, almost feels like I'm in Mississippi.

Jamsbo, I played golf Sunday morning 7:00 am Tee time as your saying goes played like a goat 42/48 sweat out about 2 gallons, thinnest I have been in years.

Sandy, your way more into shows then I am. I prefer cruise ins where I can go for a couple of hours, meet great people, talk cars, then leave. Can't sit around all day I get bored to easy. Have you got the trophy room built yet?

Wolfie, where are you? You show up say hi and then we don't hear from you again for several days. Hope things are getting better at home for you.

Don, where are you and Blue Belle?

Citcapp! Welcome back. Yes, I love the shows and the cruise ins!! I just love the atmosphere and the people. I love to be around the cars all day, lol. I never get bored. I always take a book to read too. As much sweatin as I've done this humid summer, I would think I'd have shed a few pounds too, but I haven't. It's a heck of a way to lose weight, though!

Hey Paul.... I was gonna suggest Solon tonight, if I heard from you. I don't go there often - too cliquish for me!! But I think I could make it tonight. Weather is gonna be nice. We may get some morning rain/storms tomorrow they're saying, but I'll be goin to Chick-Fil-A if it clears up in the afternoon.

You need directions to get to Solon?? Do you have a lawn chair??

Hot and dry a-gain.

Cape Hatteras hang on it's coming your way.

Scot, I'm bett'in we get sum wet stuff too. Sure hope so. My luck would be, When ya find a car show near by, the bottom drops out.

Not to be too political, BUT, I don't think there was an earthquake in D.C. I think it was our founding fathers rolling over in their graves.

Sandy, Did ya bring home more gold?

Good Morning All!

Jamesbo I doubt we get much if any off of Irene, since 90% of the "weather" off of those storms usually is east of the eye. I would love to see some of that much needed rain and Dooly County just south of me would too. Their wells are drying up left and right. I even read the other day where the city of Unadilla's well has went dry. I think you hit the nail on de head 'bout our founding fathers though. I hope everything works itself out with your skin condition.

Sandy did you get to meet up with Paul last eve? I hope there was a good turnout.

Y'all have a great day, I am gonna go see what I can get into before it gets too hot.

Morning All!

Well it's a stormy morning here. Had thunderstorms roll in in the wee hours. High winds knocked over my mater plants and a few other ones on the deck this morning. Broke off the top of one of them, that still had bloom on it. Supposed to be clearing up and going up to 86 today, and the second round of storms are to come through tonight. I hope late tonight. It's muggy again too. I shut the windows in the house this morning and turned back on the AC. Sure was nice to have open windows for a few days, lol.

Well yes, I got to meet Paul and his dad last night at Solon!! They are lovely people!!! Friendly and pleasant and nice! And again, I love the accent, lol! Paul's Delta is just gorgeous!! The paint is beautiful!! It's soooo cool that the car belonged to Paul's grandfather, and has been in the family all along. Paul's dad remembers his dad getting the car, and was telling stories about it and such! I loved it!! It was great!

There were over 100 cars there, I'd say. Quite a few Oldsmobiles - some I haven't seen before anywhere! A couple Cutli that must have come down from the Cleveland area somewhere, cause they had those donk wheels and low profile tires on them.
One blue drop top had the dash hand painted white...... but she was proud of her car, lol. She was a young black girl and very nice. I'm glad there was a nice turn out. It was a beautiful evening. I hope we can make the Chick Fil A cruise tonight, if the storms hold off until late.

Will get my pics downloaded and posted on another thread. Here's a pic of Paul and his dad by the Delta!

Very cool X2

Morning all, been raining on and off the last few days. Mini's clubhouse stayed nice and dry inside so there is a plus to the rain, I got to test out the weatherproofing

I hope you get some rain of the hurricane Scot, and you too Jamesbo. By the sounds of it you could really use it

That sure is a nice looking Delta there Paul, glad you got to meet Sandy. I will have to look into meeting a few of the local members, a day driving distance that is Your catching me with the CO members you have meet Sandy and we can't have that

Back at work yesterday, I actually had my 4 days off, don't remember the last time that happened Felt like I hadn't been at work for a couple weeks and I didn't want to go back

Have a good in ya'll

Weather is looking good for the cruise in tonight! Storms won't roll in until late..... I'm debating about going to this Hillbilly show on Saturday, or the one in Coventry somewhere. This looks like it would be a fun time though, lol! Not gonna have much time to shine her up for the Olds show on Sunday!!

Good Morning All!

Going to be another HOT and Muggy one today.

Thanks for the Lewis Grizzard link, Jamesbo. He was a great comedian, story teller and book writer all in one.

No rain for us from Irene unless the unlikely happens and it takes a left turn toward Florida. The earthquake shaken area looks to be in store for a major hurricane, so I hope the people in it's path will heed all evacuation orders. You can always come back to nothing because it's gone, but you can't come back if you are gone.

I'm relieved to hear Mini's clubhouse is weather proof as well. Now she will enjoy it for years to come.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Morning All!

Cut/Paste... Cool, muggy, storms overnight! Nice and sunny now. Humidity is supposed to break again and we'll be in the 70's all thru the weekend.

Had a nice evening at the Chick Fil A cruise last night! Got to meet ANOTHER member who lives around here somewhere. He said he doesn't get on here often, he couldn't remember his user name, lol. I think his name is Scott Shriver - not sure about the spelling. I'm gonna try to look him up on here. He said we've talked about chrome before..... I don't remember. He's a very nice guy. Had his son with him.

It was funny.... Paul, his dad and I were standing there talking in front of Teepo, and he comes pulling in and backs in beside me, and says "is this the Pretty One?" I said it's "The Prettiest One" and he tells me he's a member on the forum and recognized my car!!

He brought the 70 Blue SX. I've never seen it before. It's an original car, but in very very nice condition. Has brown interior - Paul will have to give the details cause I can't remember what Scott said about it being made that way, blue and brown. Only has 45,000 miles on it!! He said there's a pic of his car on here somewhere. So we had our own little Olds show going last night, lol! Took a couple pics. Will post in another thread.

Maybe you can help find him on here, Jamesbo?? I don't know if you moderators have a list of members or something that would be easy to look at?

I sure hope that if some of the members come to the Olds show on Sunday, it would be nice if you'd come over and introduce yourself this year!!!!!

Going over to Stow tonight to Bellacino's cruise in. The Triple Crown shut down this week, we heard, so no more cruisin over there. I didn't like it anyhow. Hopefully Paul and his dad will make it over. They are heading to different places soon. They went over to Summit Racing yesterday..... loved the place, lol!

They're replacing the roof on our unit here today. Sounds like they're gonna come through the ceiling at any minute! Drilling, pounding, thumping.... Lord!! The guys are are really whining, lol.

Well have a good day all!!

Nope, Not that I know of. Why didn't you write it down on your arm with your lip stick?
