Hi Sandy, sorry you're not feeling well. PM me your mailing address. I have something for you that at least may lift you spirits.

Well I pick up the 442 from my friends garage tomorrow. Drove across the sidewalk yesterday. I was told they will have the street paved in a day and the next day we can rive on it so, my baby is coming home.

Adam, haven't seen you here in a while. Good to see you back.

Scott & Jamesbo - She's purty stubborn. Once she sets her mind to something she usually follows through. She says the pain is starting to go away. Never know what difference a day will make. Might have to put a blow up donut on Teepos front seat tho... Maybe one of youse guys could go too and make sure she doesn't do something silly. Happy Friday everyone.

What a beautiful evening here in the Greater Stockbridge Area. And I'm off to work. This will be night three and I still have one to go.

Sandy I'm glad you're starting to feel better. A car show should be just what the doctor ordered. Be careful and let people help you.

Not much else to say. Just wanted to keep up my attendance. Hm, I guess that means I need to stop at the Awful house, too.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Gee, and when i try to post pictures of girls on here, AT LEAST i try to keep it tasteful.

I have full belief that you guys would let me know if i post pictures that are too debeaucherous for family audiences.

That being said, it's 11:55pm and i don't see a party here in montreal!

What's going on in ottawa tonight?

Mornin all,

Well, they sure spent an awful lot of time takin video of their scooters yesterday. They sure made the shop look nice. They turned it into a french bakery/cafe thing.
Attachment 175881

It did rain so I had to house all the 'Extras' until it dried out. I did get a chance to replace the heater core in the olds. Kinda surprised it didn't leak worse. Heres a pic of the old one.
Attachment 175882

Any theories on what caused this?

I guess the (now 18 year old) kid and I will do some car shopping today.

69 Have a good time at the homecoming. Sounds like a good time.

Jamesbo, don't go burning your biscuits.

Sandy, take it easy and have a good show.

Funny thing is.. the guy I bought my Cutlass S from took the money and bought a late 80's 5.0 'stang trunk model. I was driving to work beside him a week later and I could clearly see it was blowing blue smoke out the tailpipes.

I found out from the guy's brother that he had the car about 2-3weeks before the "super tuned high output" engine grenaded and needed replaced. If I remmember correctly the block wasn't even salvagable.

I heard all of this because the brother was pissed at me for buying the Olds. He told he had first dibs on the car and brother had no right to sell it to me.

Sour grapes, wine to someone else.

Could the heater core freezing warp it like that? Maybe? I am used to seeing cracks and broken solder joints in cores. That's a new one for me.

Fords done very well by me. I'm a ford guy from birth. In all honesty they are all junk (all makes). If they weren't I wouldn't have a job. .

Yup, freezinf is my guess. that is the bottom of the core. not sure how long ago it happened, but with it pulled away like that I'm glad it wasn't a full fledged failure and only a slight leaker.

Good mawning Peoples

Supposed to be a nice one here if you like wind and cool temps. I don't mind the cool but what's with the wind this year??? Can count the days on one hand where it's been bluebird and calm.

Oh well, the Mrs. got called and asked to work today so I'm in charge of cooking today. Dang, and I'm fresh out of Hell a peen yo's and Seranos..... Yesterday I made homemade chicken soup. Turned out purty good. It was 'awkward' though trying to keep the chicken from jumpin out of de pot....Had ta drownd it.

Clint - I have never seen a heater core do that. Only thing I can think is maybe factory defect? Funny how it's only on the end. Do they braze those fins with solder to hold em together? Maybe there's nothing holding the warped area?

Adam - I'd have ta be in prolly a thousand places at one ta bust all da phords. Sorry to hear your bro took the Olds sale with a glass of vinegar. I think Millie looks just great; and she's prolly glad you got her too!

Jamesbo - up wit de chickens hey? I hear ders sum places where de chickens sleep in rotation so dey can be up 24/7.....AHA - ha ha that's rich.....

Tony - I think we should all road trip to your place and have endless poutine/beer and blonde wimmen for the day....

Sandy - Bring home another trophy, ok girl??

Hi all!

Sitting in sunny Ravenna at the show. Lots of cars here. I just talked to my pal Kenny, who is judging... he informed me my "tires are not correct for stock!!" I told him I'm not getting new tires. I wouldn't even know where to get original bias tires these days. He said I'm up against 2 other cars for best stock. One is that gorgeous blue 63 Starfire. That car always wins....

My back hurts bad today. This is a first. The pain in the abdomen is tolerable. I used the pain killer before I left home and brought it with me.

Its a gorgeous day. Sunny and breezy and heading towards the 80's.

Will have to see how bad the tires hurt my chances today. Ive won 1st place quite a few times with these tires on. I don't know what he wants....

Well have a good day all! I'll check back later.

Hey Sandy - glad you're almost better!
Yeah, he's right those tires are not stock but they're much better and safer than the original stock tires. And yes, you can get bias ply stock whitewall or raised white (wide oval) tires for Teepo if you really need them for the coveted 1st place trophy. They aren't cheap tho. And seeing how you have med bills to pay? They need to be a gift from heaven or unknown benefactor.

Sounds like Kenny's giving you a heads up that you're not in 1st place today....sad face. Maybe you can go find some 'offsetting' flaws' on the other cars? I'd hate to see it come down to choice of tires.

Looking forward to the download. Have a great time Sandy. Glad to hear you're mobile. BTW, those tires I showed you were from Coker and retail for 226 each. Add tax, mounting, balance etc and that's over a grand easy....

Hope your weather there is better than here. Just got in from cutting grass and weeding flower beds. Not nice out at all. Just got an email from a buddy. Read some of it and thought about 'some of us'. See if this fits your profile

Morning everyone, looks to be another sunny day down here

Glad to see your feeling better Sandy. Does that Starfire actually drive or is it a trailer queen?

I know that google did a really bad job with the translation Allan but it was close enough for a person who doesn't know anything Russian

1K for 4 classic tyres fitted and balanced? That's a bargain if you ask me, for factory tyres that is

I wouldn't mind getting a ford to restore, just cause they are real easy to get parts for over here, like a 60's stang or a pickup of some sort from either ford or chevy. When it comes to classic cars I don't really care who made it as they were all made way better back then then they are now. So much easier to work on too

Have a good day everyone, talk to you later

Adrian

Evening All!

Well I'm feeling the pain this evening, lol. Gonna go take a nice soaking bath in a few minutes. I'm downloading the pics from the show. We did win...... We got 'Sponser's Pick'. Guess who the sponser was??? Kenny, lol! He has a TV business. The blue Starfire got the best stock award. That is one beautiful car. He drives it, Adrian. Will post in another thread. I passed Brian in Streetsboro on the way home. Now I'm sure he will think I was faking how miserable I felt all week, lol. I don't really care what he thinks!

It did hurt to drive. Getting in and out of the car is really painful. But it was nice to get out of the house, and get dressed for a change. I enjoyed it.

Jamesbo.... I wore the tank top you sent me with the Hurst Olds on it. I had it 'taken in' and made to fit me over the winter. I like it!

Nicole worked with Larry's girl at the shop today for a few hours, learning the Quickbooks program and some other accounting stuff. Larry is paying her $15 an hour to train. Of course she'll be 1099'd and will have to pay taxes. That's how he pays Suzanne. Nicole said she liked it. Charlie "broke up" with her too, she said. He's tired of not getting any affection, and tired of her being gone all the time visiting her family and such. She doesn't have to move out until December when the lease is up. I'm hoping she'll move sooner. She looked into a college I was telling her about, that has a vet assistant program for 10 months, over in Kent. It's around $13,000, but I sure hope they accept her and she takes it and they help her find a job. She always said she wanted to be a vet. I just hope it's not too late for fall registration. I just came upon the ad for the college last week.

Well I'm gonna post the pics in another thread and go relax in the tub. Talk to ya later!!

Happy Saturday everyone.

Last night for work. Done okay so far, hope this one keeps it up.

Another beautiful evening. It's nights like this that make it not so bad to work outside. All too soon, though, it will be stifling well after 2am.

My neighbor wants me to help him sell his 68 Camaro SS. I can't find anything to confirm it's a real SS, and 68 is a "one year only" for not having that info on the data plate. I already know it's a different color and the interior has been upgraded. I don't think he's gonna be happy with what I have to tell him.

I've owned a handful of Fords in my life. Well, three. I bought an Escort brand new in 1997, and I have a 66 convertible, and had an 01 Continental for a short time. Boy was that a nice car.

Adam which of those pictures is the current state?

Hope everyone has a good evening and is enjoying the weekend.

What a wonderful Sat evening it's turned out to be.

Graeme and I went out shopping for a laptop case for that honker ASUS G74 I bought him. It's a 17.3" unit. So we were at Best Buy and found a really nice case for it - it was 109.00 though. Oh well, I used 15.00 in best buy bucks and forked out the rest. When we got home we tried out the case - and it's too small!! Just. So tomorrow we're going to have to return it and find something that will fit. I can't believe how big that sucker is.

His driving is getting better each time we go out to. Today he got some practice parking in stalls at the mall. Seeing as how this was his first times, he was unsure about lining the car up, but managed to get it parked without hitting anything.

Sandy - Congrats on the win! I'll have to go look at those downloads.

Adrian - 1000.00 is still a 1000.00 In Sandy's case she has all those med bills piled up that are more urgent. If I tried to get those classic tires for my car up here they would be an easy 2K. I just don't have that kind of optional $$ lying around to do that tho.

Mike - have a great shift. Don't forget the AHA meeting at AH in de mawnin....

Happy Fathers day Olds Friends.

Welp We are done looking for a car. She bought a celica yesterday and is out polishing it.

I brought the 442 home today. All I can say is I'm pleased... Very Pleased. Cruising down the freeway at a little over 70 mph, A/C on, Temp at 190F in overdrive at about 1900 rpm with the converter locked.

Wife and kid are takin me to the Rodeo this afternoon. Then maybe bowling later on.

Life is pretty good.

Allan, Remind Graeme to keep the greasy side down

Happy Fodders Day to all o you Fodders out der!

It was s'posed to rain last night and today. Nicola Boom Boom said so. Just like a woman to say one thing and mean another! It's really nice out - clear sky, gentle breeze and around 68°. Just watered the flowers and garden. Preparing for a nice easy Fodders day.

I think I might just reward myself by working on restoring some of the FE2 parts Eric sent me a couple years ago. They look rough, but I think I can make them look new. Gonna take a lot of work though.

Jamesbo - whack! ????? whack ????? I don't hear no splashin. Dat's a good sign. Tomorrow you shud be able to whack whitey and actually get somewhere....

Clint - greasy side?? Sorry I must be dense. I don't get it. If you mean the laptop - he treats it like a new baby; he loves it and actually looks after it very well. If you mean his driving.... I don't want him greasing the tires just yet. I'd have to turn off the Traction Control if he wanted to try it though.

Sandy - Sorry, I forgot to say I feel a huge sigh of relief that Nicole is no longer with Charlie, that she's getting along with Larry, and she's got plans that are solid now. That's the way it should be. Hope that all continues well with her endeavours. Was dat just the pic at de show or do dose roots need a touchup? Ha ha I should laugh. I have mostly grey wit jus a smatterin of peppa for de charmin look! Dey say wimmen like da charmin look so I's growin a goatee too! Graeme says I look 'professorial'.

Yea, his driving. Something I say to all m ATVing friends. meaning to keep all 4 wheels pointing towards the ground and the shiny parts pointed towards the sky.

Happy Father's Day all!

Well I took Larry out for breakfast, then Nicole came over and we all went to see Prometheus. It was a different movie, lol. Jr. and his daughter are supposed to come over and we're gonna have pizza.

I'm still stiff and sore today. Haven't taken any pain medication today. Back to work tomorrow.

It's muggy today - cloudy and have had rain showers on and off. Temps around 80. They have that annual car show over at Stan Hewett Hall every father's day, so I hope they didn't get rained out. I turned on the AC a few minutes ago. The barometer is showing 81% humidity in the house.

Allan R..... Nah, the roots are good for a couple more weeks, lol. My 'touch of silver' as I call it, lol.

You all have a great day and enjoy!!

Afternoon all, was a cool day today so I decided to have a rest day in the house

Happy fathers day everybody, not sure when it is over here

I know what you mean Allan, $1000 is $1000 and that is alot of money for most of us, I'm sure there are a couple of people on CO that $1000 wouldn't hurt their pocket

Glad to hear that Nicole has sorted out what she wants to do and that she is getting on with Larry too.

Have fun smacking whitey around Jamesbo

Enjoy your days off Mike, I am back to work on Thursday

Talk to you all later

Adrian
