Wishing a happy Easter to all

Whether you celebrate by going to church somewhere or just watch your children/grandchildren hunt for easter eggs. I hope you all have a good Easter and enjoy some time with family or friends. John

Easter freedom

Got a copy of a letter written by the mother of one of our soldierskilled in the Afghan war. The main gist of it was to remind us that it was the extremist Muslim terrorists that brought their death and destruction on 9/11 to our shores and who continue to blow up themselves and innocent civilians around the world. They then complain if their food or copies of the Koran aren't up to standard when they're caught, jailed etc. As a grieving mother , her response to ALL their complaints was she DOES'NT CARE!!She ends with this [Easter appropriate] line..."Remember , only FIVE men have ever died for you...Christ for your soul , and the soldier from Canada ,the U.S.A ,Britain ,and Australia for your freedom!Have a very special Easter...Derek

[quote=jeffreyalman;163681]happy holidays to all my peeps

That't pretty good! It's off to my brothers house to get together. Used to have the egg hunt at my house (large yard) but all the nephews and nieces are grown, as are their kids. Have a good one everybody.

Never said I was a good kid, LOL!! I just haven't been caught yet! *gasp* Just kidding... it's actually a dark goldish color. There's a green one and a pink one out there too. I love cheesy yard decorations!!

Easter was a little more meaningful to me this year because on this date last year, I was laid up in Duke University Hospital not knowing whether I was gonna live or die due to an badly inflamed pancreas (complication from gallstones and I am diabetic). I made it thru, released from Duke April 11 and Easter was the 12th, and weak as I was, I made sure I attended church. I have come to consider Resurrection more clearly than I had before.

This year, went to cousin's for Easter lunch and it was magnificent. Never had Chicken Marsala for Easter before! After lunch, taught two of the teenagers how to play croquet (it and the Rook card game were always big in that community) and I think the 15 year old will be deadly at it- he took to the roquet move real good and delighted in knocking his 18 year old brother's ball out of the court.

Hope your Easter was great and meaningful.
