I've witnessed the Aurora Borealis 2-3 times in my lifetime. A spectacular light dance.

While stationed in California (Norton AFB) in the mid-70s I caught a laser show set to The Dark Side of the Moon @ Griffith Observatory in LA. It was outstanding.

Sigh. It’s on my bucket list. I have been to the northern part of Michigan many times, and many more times to the U.P on snowmobile trips, always hoped someday to see them. The view of the sky once your away from the city lights is great.

One year here in Northern California it was visible from my rear deck. Strange greenish glow, it would have been a little spooky has we not known it was expected...... Tedd

I had the opportunity to see these also. In Canada in 1957. Also another mystery is the Marfa lights in Big Bend area of Texas. Also a wonderous sight and very mysterious.

They are pretty cool, and kinda usual where i live if heading a tad northern. Just three weeks ago witnessed two HUGE ones, both yellowish-green.
They are called " Revontuli" here. People actually travel to Finland just to see those.

Haven't seen them since I was a teen. Along the Lake Michigan shoreline, a lot of stuff is obstructed by clouds along the shore. Been waiting for a show so I can get my camera set up to take a few pics. This event will be too far north for me to see.
