I bought a 75 Matador 2 door in about 1980. It had a smashed front fender and I was going to fix it and resell for a profit. I could not find used parts to fix it. Only new could be found which would exceed the value of the car, I ended up junking it. I still think those Matador 2 doors were the ugliest cars ever made!! Worse than the Gremlins, Hornets, and Pacers, at least they were cute, sorta...

AMC didn't just stop at "thinking outside the box" they went straight outside the planet. The AMX, Javlin and the Eagle weren't bad looking but the rest of the line up left you thinking What were they thinking?
