Holy Smokes Batman!

The Bright Knight has faded into the night. RIP Adam West. Seems they're dropping like flies.

I took my kids to the "Autorama" show in the mid 80's to see the Batmobile and they got their picture taken with Adam West and he signed it. He really made a great impression on them and I faithfully awaited the next episode of Batman when I was a kid. I was thrilled when the Batmobile sold for huge money at BJ.
He left quite a mark on the world. Who will ever forget the Bat signal.

Was glad to see him with a steady gig on Family Guy in his last years.

RIP, Mr. West.

88 was a lot of years for BIFF! WHAM!! KAPOW!! SOCK!!
You will be missed Adam West. RIP and don't take any guff (ha - like that would happen) from any villains you meet up there.
From Burt Ward (who played Robin)
‘In my eyes, there was only one real Batman that is and always will be Adam West. He was truly the Bright Night.’

Just re-watched the 1966 full-length movie / series pilot a few weeks ago.
One of the funniest movies around.

He was a good actor - it's a shame the Batman role became so identified with him that he had a hard time finding other gigs.

He will be missed.

The 1966 movie was not the series pilot. That movie was made to capitalize on the popularity of the series, and it was released, according to Wikipedia, two months after the first season ended.
