Craigslist

Ok...as most of you know, we are moving and I have a few items to sell. So I listed one on CL, a lawn sweeper that I used for 2 seasons. Won't need it where we are going because there are no mature trees like we have here now.

New it is at least $300 plus tax depending on where you buy it. I have it priced at under $150 and no replies for a few days. Is that a fair price? How low should I go with it? I thought it would be gone by now. Are they looking for 1/3 the price of new???

Have you considered using Facebook garage sales... Must be some located in your area, they are very popular in this area and seem to work for many people... Google Facebook Garage sales for the Charlotte area and something should pop up...

mm ill tend toward the item more then the price in my lifetime ive had or had access to at least 2 lawn sweepers...number of times lawn swept is about 1.

its easier to use a blower or mower w bagger and arguably less work !!!!

I'll start at a fair price. Then after a week if no response I lower 20%. Some of this stuff is like an albatross around your neck. Buying/selling is like a blood sport to some people.

I have had pretty good luck with Facebook market place as well. However, I was only selling old used furniture that was taking up room I essentially was selling for the price of a case of beer.

But mine dumps without getting off the mower. Nice feature there. Yes not for everyone...but for someone who has a bunch of mature trees in their yard, well worth it.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I just don't have room for all of this stuff and am just going to have to do some drastic price reductions and a little more marketing.
