Husband and I have been planning out something

My husband James and I have been planning something out lately ahead of time, our 20th wedding anniversary is next month. We got married on January 11th,1997,I was 18 and he was 20 at the time.We knew what a good marriage is and knew it was serious. We met when I was 14 and he was 16 and it has been a great relationship ever since.Proved many people wrong too, they said it would not last and are amazed we are still together. We decided on a party together with family and friends.James and I have 4 kids together too, have a 20 year old son whom will be 21 next month,a 17 year old daughter whom will be 18 next month,a 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter. We are also great parents too, love and support them for who they are.Memories,we have a lot of that are good.I still remember the tribute song he played before he proposed to me when I was 17 years old, this one:

I love stories like this. 2 people that love and respect each other to realize that no matter what, they aren't giving up when times get tough (because there are many times that they do). True love. And that's a great song! Always liked it. It's a true classic even though the video isn't the greatest. Congratulations!!! My wife and I are coming up on 18 yrs together. Time flies....

Sounds a lot like our story. We will be married 20 years in May, I was 21 and she was 19, we met when I was 18 and she was 16. We have 3 girls, 19, 17 and 15. Katherine is still awesome.

Married 27 years on Jan 20th. Daughter 23 she will be married 2 years jan4th and a son 20. The year my daughter married was our 25th, my parents 50th and if my grandparents were alive there 75th. That was kinda neat.

My wife is 39 and worried about aging like all women. She looks great, look at the pictures, you women are silly. We all get older, part of life.

Congrats the wife and just had our 41st this dec 26 we met when she was 15 and i 18. She had no Dad because he killed his self when she was 4. We got married before a judge right after she turned 16 she wasn't pregnant. We eloped my dad was there when the judge married us and so was my little sister. Her mom was a crazy woman. She forced me to remove my future wife from her house because the old woman threaten to send her daughter to the reformatory if she ever seen me again. I told the woman that i wanted nothing but the best for her daughter and was fine with visiting by a chaperone which her being it.That when her daughter was 18 i wanted to marry her after she completed her schooling. My wife knew i was the guy for her when we met and i knew knew it too. We had two kids and i still love my wife more than ever. I hope you and your husband live happily ever after. Sorry for the long winded post.

I always admire people who have strong, happy marriages. I wasn't so lucky. Mine was 16 months and two days of pure hell. I've been happily divorced for a little over 13 years, counting from the separation date. It took about a year after that for everything to be finalized. I have neither seen nor spoken to her since early 2004 and don't care to ever again. It was the most colossal mistake of my life but I know it could have been a whole lot worse if we'd had kids. Much better to have been able to go our separate ways and simply not look back.
