My warden was at it again

5 days 4 nights at the lake cabin
I drove the boat and took fish off wifes line
She caught small mouth and rock bass
walleye
perch
and sun fish many many of them
!/2 a pound of leeches and a dozen night crawlers
butchered 25 fish
fish fry on monday

Nice "eyes" you got there...those pike should have gone back in the drink though, they are too boney for my taste. You got a secret way to deal with that?

Run your knife blade along the fillet you should see 2 rows of the Y end of the bones
cut on the out side of the line / row of bones towards dorsal fin
on the belly side cut at an angle and then peel out the whole strip with the bones
It does take practice I always run my finger down the fillets to find and cut out any bones that got missed

Wife and I only kept the walleye. The guy we went fishing with kept the Nortons and gave to his parents..They are are hardy natives of ELY MN

Wife caught nice small mouth Basses too
