This is my last Labor Day as part of the working force. I will be retired when the next one rolls around.

Same here. I'm nailing it to the wall Sept 30 and after 37 yrs I am ready. Tired of the crap and chaos. I was out 6 mos with shoulder surgery and when I came back 8/22, I found nothing had really changed and the exact same people were still causing all the chaos. I'll really miss a lot of the people, hope I never see some of them again, and won't miss the politicking and jockeying for position one bit.


But on to Labor Day eats...


As usual, the Williamsons blew it out. We had pulled pork BBQ, a rotisserie smoked turkey, 3 kinds of cole slaw and enough fixins to feed a small army including my Aunt Gray's corn pudding. Couple cases of good ice-cold beer and good lawd smack yo' Mama! As our grillmaster told the B&B guests we invited to share with us, "we eat good here".
