I am so screwed

My 3yo was asking my wife all day Friday to go to the "racetrack with the loud cars" No racing going on so we all went to the World of Wheels car show last night. My daugheter found one almost her size.

You have to feed a Pony.

I can't wait for the go-kart and/or Jr. dragster build threads.

Sometimes I am so glad that my daughters don't like loud noises.

No No, your looking at this all wrong! When she gets older and wants to learn about cars you can tell your wife you NEED another project so you can spend quality time with your daughter

I am sure I can help you with that...

Back in '86, I was really into building and modding mini-bikes and go-karts...
I will let the pics do the talking, but I know i could make a huge thread out of it with my big mouth..
Here are a couple of my projects; notice the evolution...

On the 'kart, see if you can find ALL the options! (excluding the cute lady I met then!)

The minibike's 5HP Briggs was trashed when I incorrectly honed its aluminum cylinder. It ran but used more oil than gas... It finally ended up with Yamaha YZ80 engine - I would actually pull that big dump trailer in the background with it!
I still have it, now made up into a mini-chopper. I need to get a recent picture of it.
I still have the Kart, also...

Think hard about it. Boy's yes Girl's NO A scar on the boys face and he can brag to his mates for the rest of his life, or grow a beard over it. A girl and it messes it up for her the rest of her life. Been there. Andy

I disagree. When I was 8 years old my father introduced me to Quarter Midgets (I had been a fan of auto racing since my first race at Riverside Speedway at 6 months of age). We bought a new one and I raced quarter midgets for 3 years. I loved it and it really built my appreciation of cars.

I did wreck a few times, but the only broken bone I received from that was a broken finger where the helmet smacked my hand when I got spun into a wall by a boy. I got injured more doing gymnastics.

Plus, the rule at our house was if you drive it you had to work on it. I learned how to overhaul engines on the quarter midgets and then graduated into v-8s.

Somewhere I have a picture of my quarter midget sitting on the roof of our 69 Hurst Olds.
