Would the last U.S. manafacturer of TV sets...

...please turn out the lights when you leave? Oh, never mind. That's just been done.

This ambitious Chinese tech firm just snapped up Vizio for $2 billion

I presume that the TVs themselves will still be made in the U.S., at least for a while as this is where the factory is. But who knows how long that will last. But the company is no longer U.S.-owned, and it was the last one. I actually have a Vizio TV purchased at least in part because it was made here in the U.S. Now it's a collector's item!

Geez, where did that come from. I've had mine for several years, and it has always worked and looked fine. I know others who own one, and they've never spoken of any problems.

A lot of friends own them, seem to be an ok inexpensive set. I was not aware they were made in the USA.

I wonder where the Vizio TVs were actually manufactured? My understanding of the article is that Vizio is a U.S. company but they never addressed where they manufactured their product.

I thought the last TV manufactured in the U.S. was years ago and was an RCA?

We've got three Vizios and they are really good TVs with a great picture (the best TVs we've ever had). 3 different sizes, two are pretty big. The company was headquartered in USA, but manufactured in Asia.

We have an LG and a Samsung. They're both good TVs. I don't have anything against Vizio, just didn't have a good deal at the time we bought our current TVs.
