We have a fix for mice and rats now bats
My entry way has become a bat house. They come in about midnight and leave about dawn. They spend about enough time to digest then leave. The entry is to big to close off and my wife is getting pissed about having to sweep bat poop off the deck(floor) everyday does anyone know of anything that will repel bats? entry is about 13 feet wide and 21 feet deep and 21 feet high.If you do I'm interested, firearms are a possibility ....Tedd

I am thinking about some sort of sonic noise that may drive them off. There may be something that is above the human ear's range that will drive them crazy and make them leave. You will have more bugs though.

Where I live, we would be miserable without the bats. They eat their weight in mosquitos every night. Sometimes I go outside at dusk just to watch them work. Bat poo is nothing compared the birds around here.

Here are a few pictures of my entry, you can see how hard it would be to close it off. The bats seem to like the area near the top just under the door or the archway. Some mornings there is a a half a dust pan of bat poop to sweep up....Tedd

Hey Tedd
I have looked into the bat evasion scene and the noise makers and repellants
are spendy and not 100%
If all the poop and such is between the arch and front door you could try bat / bird netting to keep them out. kinda like a draw bridge

There is a product called Tangle Foot that we used to keyed pigeons off the roof and eves when I lived in town. Comes in a caulking gun tube. Just had to put it near the peak to the ends of the roof and across the peak a few feet in from each end. It might be something to try. Just put a bit of it where they hang.
