Given that today is March 22, I promise this is not an early April Fools Day joke.

Mmph. The way that crowd drops names like RR and Aston Martin makes me realise why I said the hell with Autoweek and Car and Driver many years ago...

C&D was, and I assume still is, notorious for slamming American cars for doing the same things they'd praise Japanese/European machinery for doing.

The same reason I dropped R&T 20 years ago. But I still enjoy AutoWeek.

I bet they know exactly how many cupholders they have?
Probably the same guys that argue with me what year my car is and ask if if I have a cam in my engine at cruises.

That's no exaggeration any more.

1. The Sunday Plain Dealer (newspaper) always has a review of a new vehicle, and a side bar with bullet point "pros" and "cons". I'm amazed to see cupholder feedback there!
2. As relatively well as Ford is doing, look at their ads for the likes of the Fusion and Focus. The main feature is that they are ipod phones on wheels.

You mean my 57 Olds isn't front wheel drive, and all this time I have been putting the studded snow tires on the front. Guess I'll have to rotate my tires now, what a pain

I thought the way you can tell is if you can only do donuts in the snow in reverse, you have front wheel drive.

Shouldn't it be Nitrogen and Stupidity?
Last time I played with fire I'm quite sure the world did not blow up.
Or am I part of the 80%?

It's Hydrogen, not Nitrogen. The comment applies to the whole universe, where most of the mass is made up of hydrogen in stars.

As for the snow tire mounting, keep in mind that many original owners of 1966-67 Toronados put their snow tires on the back...

And speaking of Nitrogen and stupidity, don't get me started about nitrogen filled tires...

I always thought nitrogen-filled tires for consumer use was strictly for the gullible.

Now HYDROGEN filled tires...

I prefer to go with "Nitrogen mixed" tires. (78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen)

well its the ole 80% - 20% rule, we on here are the twenty percenters who love their cars for what they are not just a means of transportation. You may think the average person would know FWD vs RWD but it doesn't surprise me, especially an entry level BMW. Now if you said a high percentage of M3 owners thought their car was FWD then I'd really be surprised.

that would be the most of something they know for sure , lately they say that there is more of something called "dark energy" than anything else , that may explain the stupidity part as well.

I think after working at a dealership for 13 years i've seen it all. I actually had a customer come in one day and claim the change holder in his 2001 S-Class was broken cause he couldn't get the change out.

He was putting small change in the lighter socket!!!!!!! What do you say to that???

I even had a customer complain about wind noise when opening the window.

uh oh..................

I thought dark matter is what we can "see" or can see results of such as a black hole and dark energy is what we can surmise by the reaction of celesteal objects to dark energy? just when ya need it the smithsonian mag is in the crapper, with the dark matter that took considerable energy, including not only hydrogen and nitrogen but methane !!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh gawd doesn't anyone want to talk about old cars anymore LOL....

you guys are too funny... but I agree buying a car nowadays is not like it used to be, it isn't horsepower and torque, it is dvd's power connections laptop pods, mp'3's and blast your azz speakers... them snapperheads!!!
