New records
We set one new record today - latest day in the year to reach 100 degrees - and on track to break the record for the longest stretch of continuous 90+ degree days in October (24 days of 90+ so far, one more day to tie the record, two to break it).

Phoenix reaches record high of 100 degrees
This is October, right?
Phoenix broke a record Thursday when the temperature at Sky Harbor Airport reached 100 degrees just after 2:30 p.m. The previous record high for Oct. 27 was 98 degrees in 2001.
The city’s 100-degree high also set the record for the latest date reaching triple digits, according to the National Weather Service in Phoenix. The previous mark was Oct. 23, 2003.
The normal high for Oct. 27 is 84 degrees.

Warm October continues with record high reached Thursday
So far this month, Phoenix has seen 24 days with high temperatures at or above 90 degrees.
There’s no relief in sight, either. Readings through Sunday are expected to hit the low to mid-90s.
But y'all remember, it's a dry heat.

Would you like for us Northeasters to cool that down for you with a little snow???
First snow fall of the season yesterday... Not much, but enough to let us know the worse is yet to come...

I really like nice warm days in the summer here, don't like it that hot though. I get tired and miserable when its gets to humid here for days on end.
We had an inch of snow here on Wednesday night here, stayed on the ground until Friday. As John said, the worst is yet to come!!
Stay cool and well hydrated Kenneth!
