We have quite a few coyotes around us too. Although coyotes will run and play in packs, I believe they usually hunt and scavenge alone. What I worry more about are the packs of feral dogs that result from their owners abandoning them in our rural area. The fact that these dogs are often larger than coyotes, run in packs, and often have little natural fear of humans, makes them pretty dangerous.

We had a coyote spotted two days ago in the one square mile city of Roosevelt Park, who's border is about an 1/8 mile from me. Suburbia, but we have deer all over the place, had one in my small back yard tuesday night, so they are just following the food supply. 5 years ago there were no coyotes around here, and 20 years ago, a deer was pretty much unheard of. Both are getting pushed out of their natural habitat, but I don't want the coyotes around my neighborhood. I'm surprised that I haven't seen any though. Got a gift card from my employer for 15 years of service. I plan on buying a Klipsch subwoofer with it, as my 20 year old JBL unit is acting up.

James - That’s sad, I hate to see beautiful big old trees like that go down. Good luck with the clean-up.

Thanks, Dream. Jamesbo, that's a sizable tree that snapped. A good wind gust I imagine.

Hi everyone.

Good morning at work. Only spun 64 wheels, finished up and was out by 1115. Then took an hour and a half to get home because of an accident on the expressway. That's one thing I don't get around here, there's an accident on the expressway, they get everything moved to the side, and still keep all lanes closed for the next two hours. Traffic was backed up 8 miles by the time I got to it. So it had been there awhile.

Beautiful out but chilly. Only 60s for the weekend. That's okay. I got a jacket. Want to spend a lot of time outside this weekend. Got a list of a few things that need to get done. Ya I've said that before.

Jamesbo that's a lot of firewood. You need help cutting it up? I'll have to sharpen the chain saw.

Dan congratulations on 15 years. That's a long time in one job. Now they'll want you to move to Davenport.

It's about time to call the gas company and have the gas turned on for the winter. Every spring when I have it turned off I say okay, now I have 6 months to come up with an alternate heat source. And 6 months later, I haven't done it.

Well okay, have a good afternoon everyone. It's Friday yay!

Sure Mike, Come on up with a BIG trailer and a chain saw, You can have all ya want

I believe I told ya my main man's wife had surgery, so I ran up and took them a Honey baked ham and sum home made tater salad. Went by the lake house to check things out. No trees down no damage but no power , But on the roads in I saw 4 broken [power poles and a Power company truck with 4 poles on the trailer. Some where I read 4 hours to reinstall a pole, Looks like no power for close to 2 more days. So I did an LA turn around and beat feet home

Of Course Red dog had to go for a swim

James - Seems only fitting to take a quick swim in the lake. Sounds like some pretty heavy winds or a tornado. I recall when one of my brother's had straight-line winds of 100mph cross his property. It took down about 25 trees directly in one row. Trees 20' - 30' away weren't even touched. Peculiar.

Good afternoon guys,
Pretty out here today, but cool with a high of 55. Sunday night into Monday morning it's supposed to get down to 25, that's colder than alot of mid-winter lows for us. No rain in the forecast all weekend and next week, gradually warming each day to a high of 72 next Friday. We had some high winds last night as the last of the storms rolled through, but nothing like James had. It pulled loose about a 15-foot stretch of the bottom of my vinyl siding on one side of the house. I spent the morning getting it back on right. We went out to Walmart around noon and there were alot of branches down on our back road but I didn't see anything large. Walmart was a zoo in the middle of the day, all I could think was people shopping for Halloween parties.

My youngest daughter is bringing two of our grandsons over tomorrow so we can see them in their Halloween costumes which should be fun. We normally would go with them while the boys are trick or treating, but not this year because of the Covid crap.

Hope everyone has a relaxing evening and good weekend.

Kenneth - 94 for you, and 25 for me. Wish we could find a happy medium!

Well I think I'm excited. After only 26 years, I'm going to start on the restoration of my Amphicar. I bought a running "body" and lots of boxes that contained the parts that were taken off. I got it street legal and drove it around some for a couple years, had it in Burnham Harbor in Chicago, and also had it on the lake I live on here in Georgia. Time, nor I, have been kind to it and some years ago it ceased being a viable automobile. That's all about to change. I took a bunch of money out and it was transferred to my account this afternoon, and now the rebirth shall begin. I decided if I didn't do it now, it would never get done.

I'm really going to try to keep up with this project, though it will be a long process. I'll do as much as I can, and after I get it all apart it goes up to a guy in Illinois for the body work. I'm usually a methodical type of guy, so we'll see how methodical when I have a big pile of parts and they all need sorting and attention, as well as going back on at some point.

This is what mine would have looked like new. I'm going to pick a different shade of blue and the seats will be all white. This is the first restoration I've ever undertaken, might as well start with something as bizarre as an Amphi.

Holy Toledo.

Mike, You might as well get a rotisserie, From the little I know [when I was in the market for an Amphi,] You have to turn them upside down to do the body work

Good morning everyone.

Jamesbo she can help. I'm not doing the body work, and I don't know if the guy who is has a rotisserie. You should still look for one. Like the one I'm not buying in New Jersey. That car is a bargain.

Chilly out this morning. But the sun is out and it's going to be in the 60s. I need to get twice as much stuff done today. Also taking the dogmobile in for a tire rotation this afternoon.

Okay gotta get at it. Have a good weekend everyone.

PS I just saw that Sean Connery died this morning. HIs son said that he "was unwell for some time." This is truly the passing of an era.

Jamesbo, I will take one of those! A shame about Sean Connery, but he was 90. He set the standard for the Bond movies. Well, I subscribe to the Klipsch newsletter, and I get updates on new products and sales. Got an email Thursday for a speaker sale, but of course, by the time that I logged on, they had sold out of the R120sw subwoofer @ half price. Hmmm, Best Buy sells Klipsch, maybe they have them on sale, sure enough, three in stock at my local store, and $20 cheaper than the online sale price at Klipsch. So, I headed over there grabbed one, and applied my gift card, sale complete, and it's hooked up and ready to go.

Love Sean Connery! My favorite film of his was the lesser known "Robin and Marian", my favorite Robin Hood film. In it Connery plays Robin of course, and a still beautiful Audrey Hepburn plays maid Marian, as they reunite in their twilight years. Robert Shaw plays the Sheriff of Notingham. Great film!

Both my daughters actually came over this afternoon with their boys, Gabe, Keegan, and Ollie. My oldest is expecting her 2nd child in March, finally a little girl! We had a nice visit and the boys were ready to go out and get as much candy as they can get their hands on!

Hope everyone has a great evening, and don't forget to "fall back" with your clocks in case there's anyplace you have to be early in the morning.

The very first Sean Connery film I ever saw was 'Dr. No'.
Get that candy kids!

I saw Robin and Marian as well, way back when, a good movie. Well, Covid took a bite out of Halloween, I had 12 kids show up. I'll be taking a stash of candy to work tomorrow and dumping it on a lunchroom table.

Of all the unusual things, we have thick cloud cover tonight so the Blue Hunter's Moon is obscured. I mean, how often does Phoenix have cloud cover? Maybe 10 days out of 365? And tonight of all nights we have clouds?!?!?!

Not a single Trick or Treater last night... Not surprised we have never gotten any- too far out in the boonies. But I am always prepared with candy, It won't go to waste... Sposta snow some today and be quite cold... I guess it's time. My buddy who got injured is still in ICU recovering. I got to talk to him on the phone. He had the epidural drip stopped and was in pain yesterday. Unfortunately the state has went back to a "tighter" stage about the virus and he can't have any visitors at all not even his wife. She could see him last week but not now. Lets not comment about that- just how it is.... I went out yesterday and trimmed up some out the small trees I pushed down at edges of the trails with the tractor. It was cool but very nice and sunny. Boy I am sure not the guy I used to be as far as agility..!!

I posted yesterday " I wonder if it's too early to have a shaken not stirred?"

Today, I realized that I often read post younger people and have No clue WTF they are talking about. Guess I'm guilty also

Since it's True confession Sunday, Mike, I have to admit, I couldn't remember the actresses name, I only remember her as "Ms. Galore"

Have a great day Olds friends

Good morning everyone.

Since I'm still operating under the old system, I slept in until 9:00. That is unheard of. At some point Tiger had jumped down and was laying on the floor in front of the window, and didn't move until I did. Wow that was great. Had a good time at the Awful house this morning as well.

I'm not a big Bond fan. Those movies were really before my time. Some of them literally, I just never developed an appreciation of them. I watched Thunderball all the way through because there was supposed to be an Amphicar in it. Turns out those scenes were on the cutting room floor.

I heard people in the neighborhood last night but don't think anyone was over by me. Also, there was no destruction or shenanigans this morning when we left, always a good thing. Was nice out last night, it would have been a good time to be out, glad no one was.

So I'm gonna head to the grocery store and then I don't know what. It's cool out and overcast. Supposed to rain this afternoon but then push out this evening. I can run around and change all the clocks. It will be weeks before I get them all done in the cars.

Have a good All Saints Day everyone.
