VC - I haven't watched the Singing Dogs video yet. Our dogs are sleeping right next to us right now, and I'm sure it will send them into a frenzy. When they get up, my wife's going to get her video ready and I'm going to play the video to see what they do. If we get a good/funny video I'll try to post it.

Back in 1977 I came within a heartbeat of going to Hope College in Holland, my Dad and I visited there. It is a nice area, and like you said, the whole shoreline area is pretty scenic.

Slantflat - Based on your original description, I thought it was going to look rougher than that. A little hard to tell in that lighting, but it looks pretty darn solid. I'm sure it will be a beauty by the time you're finished fixing her up. Have fun with it!

Everybody wants to go to Amsterdam to see the ****** in the windows and smoke pot. I guess I'd like to do that, not the pot part, but what I'm really interested in is the countryside. I myself am a Dutchman. Big Dutch community in the town I was born. When I was just learning how to talk my Mom tape recorded me, I really sounded like I was from over there. Being over 50 years old I have a feeling that cassette tape is not playable now. Hopefully. Gosh Norm, your description of the locals fits me to a T

The car looks better in the picture, which is why I thought when I got there that it wasn't as nice as I had hoped. Though it is solid. Floors are beautiful. Doors in great shape. Quarters just starting to go. It was bought new in Pensacola and stayed in Florida for 10 years or so, then went to southern Utah for about 30 years, then to South Carolina to sit in the garage for 10 or so years. Apparently southern Utah doesn't use salt on their roads. I'm sure they get plenty of snow.

You know what's funny, every person who non-revs to Amsterdam gets popped for a "random" drug test when they get back. Random. My ***. There's probably an identifier in the listing program that flags anyone who lists for over there.

P.C Hoofstraat's is kinda like Amsterdam's Rodeo drive

I don't care much for Amsterdam. It's a walker's nightmare, lanes 1] pedestrians, 2] bikes] 3] cars 4 [ trains

Every Blue hair is riding her bike with her purse on the handlebars

I never went to see the prostitutes streets/area , but I did step over a few poor souls that had Od'd on the sidewalks

I chose to drive the road in the Movie "A Bridge too Far"

Stay out of the big towns and enjoy the country. It would take you less time than driving to your moms

The "Beaches aren't worth going to

Guys - Moving away from the Nederlands, and back to the Singing Dogs. My dogs didn't go as crazy as I thought they would, but they did get excited and were trying to find them. I tried to upload the video taken with my wife's Samsung android and our site gave me a me a message that the mp4 file was an unacceptable file type???
Everyone have a great evening!

Mike, your car is Aspen green. Looks decent. I'm about 30 miles north of Holland, Mi. Worked there in the mid 70's at Chris Craft, fiberglass makes you itch like a son of a beach.

VC - Wow, I knew you were into golf, but didn't know you were that serious about it, Wow! You'll have to let us know how it went.

My annual physical today went fine. Doc said I'm in great shape for 61. Now just have to wait for the lab work to get back. Got a little bit of sad news though. I started seeing my doctor in 1985, his first year out of medical school, and found out today he's retiring in October. I knew he would probably retire soon, but I still hate to see him go, he was a great doc!

Rainy here again today as forecasted, no bad storms, just periods of showers on and off. Just enough rain to ruin any outdoor activities. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey guys - My sister finally sent me a couple pics of that old (1950's???) REO mower that was stored in an old shed on the family property. I don't know what happened to the pull start housing, but she said they couldn't find it in the shed. You can see in the pics how the handle tube served as the gas tank, although the fuel line is disconnected. I didn't remember it being self-propelled, but obviously it was. When I get it I'm thinking of taking the motor out, installing some kind of dome light where the motor was, and hanging it with the deck facing down from the garage ceiling as an REO chandelier!

Hi everyone.

Rained just as I got home but has been nice the rest of the afternoon. So what did I do? Sat on the couch and fell asleep. Rough day at work. Lots of heavy wheels and my hip started giving me trouble. I hope tomorrow is better.

Dream that's a cool looking lawn mower. Never seen one of them. Not a very wide cut. Must have been for those lawns intown. Why did they make the handle into the gas tank? Just because?

Dan you're absolutely right. I don't know where I got Alpine. That's a Ford color.

Jamesbo are you saying I'm the annoying coworker? Hey, any excuse to stay home. If I had to slap those who annoyed me, it would take me awhile.

Guy who sold me the car texted and said he found a whole bunch of keys to it and he'll mail them to me. I hope the originals are in there.

Think I'll hit the sack early. It's supposed to be nice the rest of the week, maybe I'll get the dogmobile worked on. If I don't we'll be taking the pickup. I think I'm hearing a wheel bearing go bad in it, it sounds like the whomp whomp whomp a semi's tires make on the highway. Maybe it is my tires, I should have them rotated it might fix the noise.

Okay have a good evening everyone.

Slantflat - I guess the pic of the mower is deceiving, it's a standard walk behind width. I don't know why they made the handle the gas tank, other than is might be easier to fill, or just hoping the uniqueness of it would help sell more units. I wouldn't give a Rat's A$$ about it if it wasn't made by the Ransom E. Old's (REO) Motor Division. I hope everyone has a great evening!

Good afternoon guys,
Cloudy and overcast here in St. Louis today with a chance of showers all day. Wish the sun would come out and dry things up, I really need to get out and mow. Might need a hay mower by the time I can get out there! At least it's supposed to be nice Friday thru Monday. One of my riding buddies and I have a ride planned out through Missouri wine country along the Missouri River on Friday, I'm looking forward to that. There's also a large cruise Friday evening about 30-miles from me. Might have to make it a 2-fer day if momma wants to drive up there. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi everyone.

Nice out today and hot. Really nice. Supposed to be this way for awhile.

Work was okay, not terrific but not extreme. I expect tomorrow to be much of the same. Don't think the front has hit the number at all this week. The fat man tells everyone what he wants done, and they blindly follow. The lead doesn't say a word. Come the end of the week and we're way off the mark someone will have to answer for it. I'd drop kick that fat man into next week.

So after work I hurried and took the dogmobile to the guy who charged the AC in June. He had a good look at it and said the compressor was bad and it needed a new one as well as the dryer and the high side pressure switch. It would only be 725. I spent almost that amount a year ago having the exact work done. I bought the parts at NAPA and had my mechanic neighbor put it all in. Today he said he'd charge the system just so I had AC for the weekend, but it would all leak out. Then he says he can't charge the system because the compressor is so bad it won't work. I don't think 725 is a bad price but it's gonna have to wait awhile. I doubt very seriously if the parts I bought last year are still under warranty. But I'm gonna look.

Think I'll relax a little then hit the sack early. This week seems to be going slow. Of course I have until tomorrow to get ready for my trip because we're headed out Friday after work. Of course when I'm not ready on Friday I'll think the week went too fast.

Okay the best of Hump Days to you all. Have a good evening.

Since it's a boathouse, you need to put water ski's on the figure.

Hi everyone.

Hot, hot, love it, love it. Took the Mercedes to work today. Put the top down for the ride home and it was glorious! The top is fairly straight forward once you get the trick to it, but still a pain because it takes so long.

Gonna go get the pickup and then head to Lowes to get a backyard shed kit. Hopefully I can get it put up at my Mom's this weekend. Oh, I keep saying I'm leaving tomorrow after work. Well I ain't gonna. I do that every time and every time I sit in evening traffic and it takes me an extra hour to get there. So I'll leave at 0'Dark Thirty and get there for breakfast. It works out pretty much the same.

Not a bad day at work. We did mostly nose wheels and the main wheels we did weren't all that heavy. No A321 mains. I swear the 321 inboard mains are the heaviest ones we have, even more so than the 777 or the A350s. And the 321 isn't that big of a plane! Sheesh.

So good, I have two afternoons to get things ready. Should have plenty of time.

See you's all later.

Hi everyone.

Beautiful out and not as hot as it's supposed to be. Supposed to be nice all weekend. Hope that's true for the panhandle.

Got out of work around 11 this morning. I was rather surprised, since we haven't hit our number all week, but we did 110 by 10 this morning. One might think that's odd but I understand it completely.

Jamesbo I'm going to get a kit down there after all. The point of getting it up here was to see if it would fit in the dogmobile, then I would just bring it with me. But since the dogmobile isn't going, it doesn't matter. So I'll get it down there and not worry about it. That and I fell asleep and slept all damn afternoon and didn't get out to get one.

Norm I'm going to leave in the wee hours and get to Mom's around breakfast time. I'll still have a good day to do stuff and all of Sunday. I know I've got a growing list of things to do as well.

So have a good evening everyone.
