I'm thinking of opening a couple hundred "Drive-Through Butt Wash" facilities in every state across the nation since TP will no longer be available I should make a killing.

James - I pulled my 10.5° TaylorMade Burner graphite shaft driver from my bag on Sunday - it was broke into two pieces. It broke exactly where it had worn thin from abrasion of the golf bag when the stick is in the bag and it wears from rolling around, etc. That Burner was ~15-16 years old.
During the past four days I tried out a number of newer drivers. I finally settled on a Mizuno ST180 HL Driver Adjustable Loft, Standard Lie, Standard Length , Flex Regular w/ Graphite Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei CK Orange 50 shaft. I even gave several of the new Mavrik drivers a spin. I'm loving this Mizuno.
I re-gripped all my clubs two weeks ago w/ Winn Dri-Tac midsize grips - including the broken Burner. I just came in from my man-cave & put on a new Winn Dri-Tac midsize grip onto the ST180.
Tee time 9:00 AM tomorrow.

Norm, I tried the antenna "T" extension and what a difference!! Set radio today on a favorite station that barely would come in before and now it stayed tuned in the whole time I was in shop! Thank you, thank you!!
Today I worked on truck and mixed up some filler. Funny how that stuff all smells the same. This is some lighter stuff that is supposed to sand easier. The only stuff I've ever used before was the Bondo brand that you get at Wally world,etc. But this stuff smell the same but it does seem to sand a little easier.

Greg - I have visions of you serenading about your shop two-stepping, waltzing & doing the polka now that you've locked in your favorite station. Happy it worked out for you. The last time I did any real body work was in the 70's on the '53 GMC pickup I was refurbishing. I recall what you more or less just described as the stuff which sands easier than Bondo. If I recall correctly, the Bondo went on dark pink then dried to a soft white? Then, kind of like yourself, I went with some filler which was supposed to sand easier - it was gray. I think there were two types - one was a dark gray the other a soft gray. I recall using either one or both of them and after they dried I began to hit it with a sanding block - both dry & wet depending on the grit. I remember how initially I was doing it wrong. It sanded easier alright - so easy to the point it took barely any sanding and I had already removed what I had just applied. I had to be really careful with the sanding. When I finally got to the point of wet-sanding with just the paper (no sanding block) it did turn out awfully smooth though.
I've watched four or five movies in the past several months which were just plain dumb.
I've been hard at it on weed patrol/control the past week hitting the pre-emergent weeds with the two-gallon sprayer. The grasses here are just beginning to turn green - well, at least the centipede is beginning to turn green which is what I have in my landscape. The past two years seem to have brought in a plethora of weeds with hurricane Florence (2018) & hurricane Dorian (2019). I'm going to begin cutting the lawn higher this year to hopefully shade out the weeds. Normally, I cut at 1.75" - 2.00" which leaves a great lawn height for centipede. I'm going to start cutting at 3.00" to see if it helps.
Slight drizzle and rain this morning. We've been getting a nice amount of rain as spring begins. Azaleas are now beginning to bloom along the coastline of NC. Temperatures have remained quite mild - near normal for this time of year. During the rain events I generally spend the day in the man-cave vacuuming, cleaning and organizing so I can enjoy the shop throughout the remainder of the year.

I mowed the grass today. It got so tall in 1 week that I almost lost the young dog when he went out to poop this morning. It rained almost all this past week and finished up with monstrous thunderstorms Friday. With the temperature in the 70s-80s everything is growing fast and everything is blooming. Here come the allergies. What a great time for everyone to start sneezing, right in the middle of a virus panic.

I hear you about the allergies. When I moved to NC 22 years ago, I thought I'd be free of perennial ragweed allergy which plagued me up North. Little did I know the tree pollen in this area is relentless - the trees began shedding pollen last week and things are becoming covered with this greenish/yellow mustard colored dust. Everyone I know (including me) get an allergic reaction to the tree pollen here.

I hear ya. I'm from the Gulf Coast and back there the pine trees throw off so much pollen it coats everything in a layer of yellow dust.
Jamesbo, when we moved here we bought a bunch of honey from the local desert producers to try to alleviate the allergies. I can't remember if it helped or not, but thanks for the reminder, I have some local honey in the pantry so I'll pull it out.

I've tried the local honey - can't recall if it did any good. James, you have any good Snake Oil?
During some occasions during this time of year, I've been driving and you can see enormous 'clouds' of green/yellow pollen blowing through the atmosphere. I'm talking pollen clouds the size of a house or larger. Crazy wild.

I should be able to get in 18 tomorrow. Windy but tolerable. No rain tonight, slight chance in the morning before 8 AM and my tee time is 11:00 AM. Winds are 16 mph.

James - I really have to slow down my swing w/ this new Mizuno driver until I gain better control of it. I will say this - I'm banging the living **** out of it for distance. I'm easily capitalizing on 235+ yard drives (that's in the air).

Oh yeah, and it appears thus far much more forgiving on mishits from the sweet spot. They stay pretty straight. My issue right now is gaining familiarity with the swing tempo and not gripping it tight. You know, the basics of a good swing - the stuff I have to work on every single time I'm at bat!
I put several hooks the other day off into never land which is something I seldom do. But, then again, I've really blocked out a couple doozies. I haven't hit the big ball first with it yet (no drop kicks). The damn thing sounds like a 12 Ga shotgun going off - which I don't mind at all.

Probably as close as you're going to see me dancing in shop. Yep that's me- Big Ugly!! Te filler I used was grey with blue activator- when mixed it is light blue. I hope to get back over today and work.
