The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
I see that the Classic Olds chefs have been at work. looks great. The peaches gave me an idea, maybe incorporate into my bar b q sauce the next time that I have ribs. Brats, chips, and Perrin Black Ale for me today. Went to a local car show this a.m. about 12 miles south of me. Took a couple of pics. https://photos.app.goo.gl/5WRdq7tbAnsPYwpy9

Thoroughly cleaned one of the two large Weber Kettle grills. I've never owned any other outdoor grill - every outdoor grill I've owned has been a Weber Kettle. Created two tasty Ball Park frank masterpieces and two Angus Beef cheeseburger masterpieces. Couldn't decide which Haagen-Dazs but finally elected to settle in w/ Butter Pecan (Pistachio remains in the freezer).
I read there's ~50K humans worldwide who have a microchip installed in their bodies.

Dan looks like some neat cars to see.
Moms side of the family made a side salad with peach's, fresh tomatoes, mayo, salt, pepper and a little white sugar. I know it sounds different but if you ever get a chance it is a real good BBQ side especially with the fresh garden tomatoes

That makes perfect sense. I suppose like most things we need to be more definitive regarding the topic of microchips in humans. The type chips several of the articles & videos I viewed were kinda crazy. Especially the ones where they put microchips in their hands (between the thumb & index finger). Some had a credit card bank account microchip to use for shopping (are you shitting me?)! Some had a microchip for their home security system inclusive of unlocking their safe(s) and entrance doors while others had some for their vehicles. Insane.
Hi everyone.
It struck me in the Awful house today when someone said, Happy Memorial Day, that that was inappropriate. This day we remember those who are not among us. We should be saying Somber Memorial Day. Many times I went with my Grandmother to put flowers on my Granddad's grave. She always said Decoration Day, even though I think it was changed to Memorial Day in the 60s.
Stormed pretty good here this morning, which put the kybosh on my plans to work out in the yard. The sun is out now but I wanted to get out the tractor and that would just tear up the yard. So I'm gonna paint the bedroom some more.
Memorial Day was officially known as that in 1971.
So Kenneth why can't someone put a tracking chip in a pacemaker along with the others and track a person that way? There was a push awhile ago to put chips in children, you know, to keep them safe. Oh and if that person needed to be traced later on in life, well... What if doctors were paid by the government to install chips when people went in for any kind of surgery? Whoa I just blew my own mind! I could have one in my hip. I wondered why people in sunglasses keep giving me strange looks.
Dan those are nice pictures. My favorite is the Barracuda, closely followed by the Retractable.
Okay gonna go paint. School night tonight, but how nice to work overtime and also be able to sleep in two times in a row. And have a short week. I need to change oil in the truck this week, it just hit 140K.
Have a good afternoon everyone.

Attempt #5 at pizza.
Put some seasoning in the beef, seemed to help. Cheese was swapped from sliced mozzarella to shredded 4 cheese Italian pizza blend. It seems to want less time as it burned a little.

Good evening guys,
Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day.
I had a very nice time at the Car Show today. The promoter said there were 178 paid (judged) vehicles. I was in a 1900 - 1999 Car only class, no distinction between different Makes/Models or OEM vs. Modified. Ninety-nine years covers alot of Car history! They gave out awards to the Top 20 in this Class. I felt very fortunate to crack the Top 20 and received a nice plaque. The story of my car in the NFL TV segments that was in JWO continues to be a great conversation starter, and the Judges today said they loved it.

Well I was watching the recently hatched covey or 18 or so baby quail cruising the back yard all day. Then a grackle dropped in and snatched one of the baby quail. The internet says the mortality rate of baby quail is 85% in the first year so this is not unexpected. I just didn’t expect to witness it.
Good morning everyone.
No OT for me. I think I'll take this week off from getting up at 2am. Short week anyway, and I know we're working Saturday so I'll be here for that.
John the pizza looks good, and it's cut in squares. Although, how much fun would it be to cut it in wedges.
Chris glad the show was a good time. Might as well not have classes. Do you notice any more or less interest by the spectators and/or judges with the different wheels?
Gotta call Mom later on, I think I remember her saying she had a doctor's appointment this afternoon, but she didn't say anything about it when I left last night. If she doesn't then I need to run a couple errands after work. One would be to get some motor oil and a filter. The black truck just turned 140K and it's time to change oil. Also, we want to go up north the third weekend of June, and I need to find out for sure what she has going, so I can make some reservations. Damn rental cars are expensive. Like 80 bucks a day. I remember thinking 34 a day was too much. Sheesh.
Okay have a great Tuesday everyone.

Mike - Of course most spectators and judges have nothing to compare the new wheels to unless they've seen my car before, but overall I think the response has been very positive. I've been to several shows done by the main judge yesterday and he picked up on them right away and made a positive comment. He also loved the framed copy of the Car's NFL story.
Hot & sticky (as I like my women), today. Wrangled in a couple hours on the driving range. It really does help to practice (how novel, eh?). I have plenty of food in the house but I'm not all about cooking, today. Grabbed a couple pizzas & four tubs of Haagen Dacz - x2 Rocky Road & x2 Pistachio - for this evening's movie. Crown work 8am tomorrow morning.
John - Your pizzas have improved with every attempt. FWIW, I've tried different cheeses in the past when making homemade pizza. I've found nothing works as well and tastes as good as Mozzarella. You want to be bold, try making a Pesto pizza (w/ lots of Mozzarella). I find them delicious.

Another of my sports heroes has unfortunately passed. I was walking the boardwalk area along the beach in San Diego checking out some of the shops in 2001 on a business trip. I was about to go into a shop, when out walked a giant of a man who went to the bike rack and started to prepare to get on his bike. I immediately recognized him as "Big Red", Bill Walton, of UCLA and NBA fame. I summoned up my courage rapidly enough to approach him before he left and went up and told him I recognized him and just wanted to say hi, and how much I had enjoyed watching him play. He was very gracious and shook my hand, and said he appreciated me being a fan. Wish I had had something for him to autograph. Bill Walton passed yesterday at 71 after a long battle with cancer. It sucks!
Yep, he was flakey, quirky, and the ultimate "Dead" fan. He had a major issue with stuttering until the age of 28, but was able to become a major Sports Broadcaster. Also had a law degree from Stanford, two NCAA championships, two NBA championships, an NBA MVP award, and is an NBA Hall of Famer. Not too shabby!
Yes, it is odd that Mike didn't give us a work update this morning, but I ain't worried about him, yet??? I am concerned about Jim, no posts on this thread, or anywhere else I've seen in the last couple of days. I hope his rehab is going OK and that he's trending in a positive direction.
