Norm, please keep your eyes open for a John deere progator bed.I'm sure many golf courses have them laying around when they remove bed for another use ( sprayer, spreader etc.) I need one to make a trailer to carry 1 of the 2 water totes I use to water trees in the cemetery. Thanks
Went to Menard's today and got most of what I need for the first sump pump replacement project. Need to Amazon a couple things. Drove towards home, stopped at grocery store, and it was booming at 5pm. Got home, got the mail, heard my friend the barn cat coming (he beelines for me every time he sees me come home), petted him, grilled fish, and had dinner.
I am going nowhere for the next 4 days. Black Friday can kiss it.

Thanks Norm, I'm having a hard time finding a narrow trailer [to maneuver between the dogwoods] that can handle a tote with 3000 pounds of water. so I'm thinking about making one with a heavy duty Progator bed and heavy axle

Happy Thanksgiving day everyone. I'm heading to a family dinner @ 1:00PM. My neighbors (whose parents owned & were raised in my home) put on a spread for ~30-40 of them each Thanksgiving day. I neither need to bring anything nor do I need to make anything, etc. - just show up.

We're going to the BIL's house this afternoon. Tomorrow afternoon we're having a 2nd Thanksgiving at my youngest daughter's home. I may be up 20lbs before it's all said and done.

Jim - I think I've said previously (a long time ago) said while teaching college in Florida I worked on a large (~5000) tree farm for a couple years during summer months. Basically, I was the water boy. A large variety of trees of various sizes planted in rows comprising ~40 acres. Tons of plastic water irrigation lines routed to the trees made up the greatest majority of water irrigation. I maintained all the water irrigation - pretty laid back job, really. Except for days when large trees were being removed (dug up) & transported to off-site locations &/or mowing &/or brush hogging certain areas with tractors, I spent my time ensuring the trees had ample water. I had a 4-wheel ATV w/ a 56 gal. polypropylene water tank (mule) + engine & hose skid loaded onto the back of the ATV. There were several Pro Gator (type) vehicles which were not used for watering - e.g. soil, mulch, fertilizer, etc., but the one I rode was dedicated to water. It was very handy getting in between each tree and traveling down the many rows of trees. It was inevitable (for any reason) some irrigation lines didn't work because the lines broke, or the drip nozzles broke, corroded, clogged, etc. so the ATV water tank was the primary method of irrigation until the lines were fixed.
I have a NORTHSTAR water/broadcast sprayer trailer I pull behind the JD ZTR...turns on a dime holds ~31 gals. Comes with a separate hose you can remove spray nozzles & go direct stream. I'm not suggesting what you need or should do, I'm only stating what I have.
A turkey is too much work for one man for one man, so I grilled chicken for the next few lunches and made meatloaf for dinner. I'll freeze the remaining loaf and fridge the half left of the first one.
Pardon the messy stove. Since trash is tomorrow morning, I also prepped the roasts and veggies for the pot roast I woke up too late to start today, so it will be tomorrow.

Turkey, 2 types of Ham, 2 types of potatoes, Gravy, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, fresh green beans, dressing, sweet potatoes, apple pie, pumpkin pie, rolls, and.my wife's chocolate chip cookies. Oh, and lots of beer. I'm stuffed to the gills. I may.need Alka Seltzer when I get home.

I have a similar trailer with a 3500 lb axle. Dang does it bounce around with no or light load. The PO said it rode well with a full load of motorcycles, but I don’t have those. So far the heaviest load for me was a water heater warranty return to and from the home improvement store. Strapped it down securely and let the trailer bounce around.
Coors is a solid choice for a lager.

It's really cheap, though.
Stayed up too late last night again playing metal this time, and drinking. The new vinyl I have of the Metallica album plays like new wax should. Came with a warp in both records, so I have fed them to my flattener today.
Was up this morning, and checked my email and my package had been delivered while I was in the shower. 4 channel reel to reel deck. 60 lbs of quadraphonic 70s fun. Got it out, put the removed parts back on, and had an issue with alignment of a reel table not spinning freely. Consulted the service manual, they said loosen these set screws, slide to fit, then tighten; so I did. Spun ok, so I loaded up one of the few 7.5 inches per second tapes I have, and got great sound out of all 4 channels in my headphones, so off it went to the living room. Plugged into the stereo, and had a great time playing that album. Queued up my other quad tape for this evening.
After that, since I overslept the pot roast crock pot launch time again, I threw some pork ribs in the pressure cooker and figured out how to safely use that. 25 min later, out they come, throw in casserole dish, lace with sauce, then another 25 min in the oven, and bam, Yankee Ribs. Not to be confused with Southern BBQ.

Guilty. This was my mother's go to for a meat dish in a hurry. She's never made barbeque or grilled in her life, I don't think, but the lady has put a million miles on various stoves and ovens over the years.
i use to know a dude that cooked ribs [southern tyle] for political events.Hed cook all night and pack them in igloo cooler, put 20/30 coolers on his trailer to take to the parties He claimed they were still cooking when he got to the parties because the coolers kept them hot We go by his house when he was cooking He would cut the thin tails off an give them to us because the thin tails wouldn't pack tight in his cooler Free ribs and whiskey aren't all bad
Agree 100% with the OSU part! I went to Graduate School at Bowling Green State Univ. in Ohio, longest 2-years of my life being a Michigan fan. There was a popular bumper sticker in Michigan back in the day and it was always my favorite, "Woody is a Pecker, and a Buckeye is a Nut."

Went to an antique show this morning looking for a record cabinet. Found a few records instead. Checked on my Monte Carlo in the pole barn on the way home.
Started the pot roast finally. It needed 6 hours, which is faster than I thought it would be. I make more than a pot of veggies with it. I'll cook the meat till it's good, throw in as many veggies as I can, cook those until done, then remove everything. I then dump in the remaining veggies, put the bones back in, and as much done meat as will still fit. Meanwhile, I eat dinner. Once all the second batch of veggies are done, I unload the cooker and shut down. Makes about 5 or 6 meals like this.
From my cooking this past week, I have about 18 meals in the freezer which I will eat in the next few weeks and avoid having to come home from work and cook.
