eye surgery today
A little nervous, getting a cataract removed today around noon. That in itself shouldn't be a big thing but it's on my only good eye(legally blind in the left) and the right has had a cornea transplant that they have to work around that is a concern for them and especially me.
When I had the transplant done years ago it was a new procedure now I guess it's pretty common but anytime I get my eyes messed with I get nervous. Hopefully I'll see you later.....Tedd

In itself the cataract surgery is no big deal, I've had both my eyes done. The problem you'll have is the recovery time from when you get it done and when they remove the eye patch. Good luck and a speedy recovery Tedd.

A fast and easy recovery Tedd. I’ll be 48 years in September but have had a buckle on my right eye for a detached retina (12 years ago) followed by cataract surgery, eyeball injections and laser surgery (while awake and unmedicated) on the left. Thank God, (and my foul mouthed genius opthomologist) that I can still see today!! My annual check ups are a treat as I have a strong trust in his competency and while very different, we can speak candidly with a mutual appreciation of travel/car interests. The cataract surgery was actually pretty easy!!😀

I had both eyes done late in 2019 and it was one of the best things I ever did for myself. Prep and recovery took the most time; cataract surgery itself was <15 min. I can see individual blades of grass now.
Granted I didn't have any complicating factors like you do, but cataract and many other surgeries are quick and simple now compared to even 20 years ago. I think you'll do fine.
Besides, you need to be able to see so you can put that BMW back together!😼

Over night checkup back from the Doc, everything went very well. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face yesterday and I was a bit worried but amazing what a few hours make, eyes heal quick Typing is a bit of a struggle still but even that is getting better. This wouldn't have been near the ordeal had I had some vision in my left eye.
Thanks all for your concern....Tedd

Looking Good! I mean really looking good! I think I'm seeing as good now with out a contact lens as I did with a lens in the distance department. Up close is still a challenge but who knows what another day will bring. Consider me a happy camper. Might go for a ride in the Miata tomorrow, top down of course, I'll wear my Rocky the squirrel classes.,,, Tedd

Jumped in the Miata, top down glasses on (that I use for chainsaw work) and went to the Old Man's place. Did some paperwork and came home Like I never had anything done I was blind as a bat three days ago. Happy camper. Checkup on Thursday then I'm done...... Tedd
