Detective Munch.
Just read Richard Belzer has died aged 78.
Didn't know he was that old.
I'm a longtime SVU fan and it took some getting used to when Detective John Munch had to "retire" per NYPD guidelines and left the series. Belzer's dry deadpan humor and delivery made him the perfect Munch.

Hi,
Yeah was surprised to hear he passed, funny he started out as a stand up comedian, as I only remembered him as that character, but back on Homicide and kept taking it to different tv shows.
