Thankfully everyone is OK.I didn't know the victim or his sons.
Kinda strange, you just don't hear about this stuff happening here.

Rob, that would be like me being afraid to come to Texas because JFK was shot there.
This wasn't a random car bombing, it most likely was someone he knew, possibly a disgruntled former client or employee.

We here in the States take for granted the peaceful serenity that we are graced with every day, even in a post 9/11 society. Other places do not have this luxury on the day to day. Less than a year ago a bomb went off at a bank in Bogota, CO less than four blocks from one of my co-worker's apt. Of course he was unharmed, but never the less.....four blocks. I recently went down for a couple weeks to help out with some work on the airplane, stayed in the posh Marriott JW and enjoyed beautiful Bogota. But I still made point to walk three blocks down to the point of impact on Saturday morning to get a perspective on
how close the demons really are. The following evening, we had drinks and dinner, ..........and more drinks in the same neighborhood. We as Americans should thank God every day that we live under the blanket of security that we do on the day to day. Our concerns pale in comparison to many others.

There is a chance this was random. This is a part of town that is nearby an industrial complex,on a dead end road headed toward an old Ford plant. No houses around for a long ways.
