Ausravens visit to REO Museum in Lansing

Hey everyone, I was lucky enough to be in Lansing recently and I visited the Olds museum they have there. They have some very cool cars there that's for sure so I thought I would start a new thread and post some pics I took while I was there. Let me know what you think of them

Adrian

Which one? I looks like it has a spare one in the back seat or trunk.

Thanks for posting. I am always torn regarding static museum collections. These cars need to go for a ride once in a while. Very nice to look at and wish I had most of them.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. I have not benn to NY but I think I would feel the same.

The Olds with the blower (actually 2 is correct), is the Hurst Hairy Olds replica. It is owned by the Hurst Olds Club of America, and is on long term loan to the REO Transportation Musuem. It was used by Hurst in 66-67 as an advertising platform. With 2 Toro based powerplants, it was 4 wheel drive and reportedly could spin all 4 all the way down the track! There is an article about it in this month's H/O Club newsletter (Thunder and Lightning).
