Uca cross shaft bushing retainer nut tightening tool???

I am in the process of replacing my upper control arm bushings in my '70 442 w/ A/C.

After removing my drivers side arm I looked at the passenger side upper control arm and noticed the A/C box on the firewall covering the rear nut of the cross shaft bushing retainer and the A/C compressor covering the front nut of the cross shaft bushing retainer.

This is going to make the final torque being applied to these nuts onced the car is back on level ground very differcult!

Is there any tricks or a special type of ratchet that make the final torquing of these cross shaft bushing retainer 15/16" nuts onced the upper contol arm is instaled into the car, or.... are the plastic inner fender wheel wells need to be removed to gain access

Can you get a torquewrench in through the rubber wheelwell flaps? You might have to turn the wheels lock to lock, but I think that will be your best opportunity. It looks like this should work...
I have to do what your doing later on so let us know what does work!

A forewarning if you think about pulling the inner fenders: you WILL find stuff to restore!

The opening in the inner fender wheel well is not wide enough

It sure looks like there would be room with all the rubber pulled back, but its hard to tell with no control arm there.
