HELP! Gas pedal removal

I'm going to be working on the floor of the starfire and can't figure out how to remove the gas pedal. I see the threaded block on the engine side of the firewall, and can feel some sort of bolt head on the inside, but the bolt head continues to the base of the pedal. Just put a wrench to the "nut"? Does the 'extended' head of the bolt turn with it? Just really weird ya know...
thanks

Smile Pedal to the metal

There are two threaded studs with a round ball head that simply pushes into the rubber of the pedal...pull or pry up firmly to remove...if the studs are damaged then you unscrew them out of the floor...
