steering wheel/column issues
ok, got the new turn signal switch in.
my issues:
horn contact wires are shot, does anyone know of any replacements out thre for that. the wheel on this car has the two push in, rectangular pieces on the spoke and they don't come apart, i.e., the wires are permanently attached.
second, the new emergency flasher pushes in fine, but you can't pull the button and have it release...I can push on the internal tab for it and it releases easily, but will not release by pulling on the button as hard as I can. it doesn't budge that way.
trying to remember, the spring goes on first then the steering wheel with the horn contact right? I ask as logically only way for it to go on, but I don't recall there being as much tension when pulling the wheel as you have to push to put the wheel back on. seemed like the horn contact ring kept the spring in place when I pulled the wheel.
any ideas on any of this would be much appreciated.
